so you know when you were refered. you can work out what date is 2 years from that date and yet you got a letter before that date and said i must be finished.

Oh yes you will get the letter AFTER the 2 years are up?! What fools thinks you get the letter AFTER the date?

The woman don't work on Fridays so the 19th would be a Friday and I guess its well, let me think..................WHEN THEY WERE AVAILABLE

You seem to be saying I am NOT FINSIHED at all till the WP tell me which in fact they haven't !!!

i repeat you got the letter and presumed you were finished. the letter arrived before the finish date. all i intitially did was advise caution and said dont assume you are now finished because you have a letter. you have then continued to push the if the jobcentre says i'm finished then i 'm finished line.

Because and there is only ONE WAY of saying this

The JOB CENTRE as the only ones that can tell you it is finished and since the letter says its COMPLETE it is finished

So why don't you tell me what letter you got to tell you yours was finished then ?

the jobcentre didnt tell me i had finished the provider did. i got the same letter you got. if i had took it as gospel like you did with yours i would have been wrong because i still had 3 weeks left. most people have the ability to know that the purpose of the letter is solely to give you your first appointment back at the jobcentre. the referal date alone controls when you finish.

So you have a letter from the WP saying your time on the WP is over? And in the three weeks from when you got the JC letter and leaving the WP you still were going to the WP daily, weekly?

I will say it again the WP do not tell you when you have ended as its only the DWP who can tell you not to attend anymore

By what you are saying I am now breaking the law!

no, i asked them when my finish date was and they told me. i also knew i would have to attend an exit review before i was finished. the jobcentre has never told me when my finish date is. the letter i got like you is really just about giving you your first appointment. yes i still had to attend the wp after i recieved the letter from the jobcentre. that is why i tried to caution you to not take it as gospel. it is bad practice by the jobcentre that they are sending out letters saying that people have finished before they have actually finished. i understand people need to know their appointment in advance but it should say you are due to leave shortly, not that you have finished.

only the jobcentre could allow you to finish early(they wont) but either party can let you know when your finish date is. this is of course dictated by your referal date and nothing else not a letter, not anything.

The appointment at the JC is 1 day before the 2 years are up on the WP therefore probably meaning the JC thinks I wont be going to the WP in the space of ONE DAY

Also I will have NO EXIT INTERVIEW

The WP provider sends that so I was told from the head office to the JC and I will not see it!!

The JC have NO BARING on the WP at all so if I had no appointments for the last 6 months that would not bother them at all

You think cause I am not going to the WP at all this week I or the WP are going to be in big trouble?

The WP have not booked me in for anything at all and my last date is the 19th

You talk about the JC letting you leave the WP early but like I say they have no control on the amounts of times you go or even if you did go at all so whether or not I am going there this week is up to the WP and they have booked me for nothing.

Like I keep asking where is your written proof from the DWP that you have completed the WP?

An exit paper is not telling you its complete surely?

I have a letter saying mine is complete no matter what you think and you have word or mouth?

Like you say an appointment at the JC is not proof it has ended so your WP provider has written to you to tell you that you need not attend anymore?

I think your JC and WP do thinks a lot different to mine

i had my last appointment 2 weeks before the finish date and the jobcentre appointment is about a week and half after the finish date. so apart from the usual signing on i have effectively been left alone for a number of weeks.
different providers must do things differently. i know someone at the other provider here that didnt get a copy of their exit review. i suspect it is because if they want to be nasty about you they can get away with it if you dont see it.

Why have you been 'left' if you have not finished?

    You have not then finished?

I doubt they want to be nasty as you ALWAYS seem to think the worse. It because it will take another long interview using time and people that the do not have. I mean wasn't it you who said they just got handed theirs?

Besides I will make sure I get a copy of my exit report and if there is one thing on it that is a lie my MP will get a copy along with the minsters who stuck this sham together and then I Will get in touch with CH4 news team who love looking at this board too!!!!

Also a full complaint to the WP provider.

  • Hi guys

Quick questions. I have an appointment with my WP adviser coming up very soon as I have just signed back on after finishing a 3 month temporary position. Since I started the job I have had a few calls/emails/letters asking for the details of the employer. I realise they need this information so they can claim their commission from the government however I found this job myself and throughout my time with them they have done absolutely nothing for me. Recently the calls have increased in frequency, with calls being made from the advisers mobile phone (i.e. a number I did not recognise and picked up) and yesterday I received a letter from the provider stating my time on the work program was coming to an end.

Am I within my rights to withhold this information from them? They do sound pretty desperate for this information, in a couple of emails they sent me they said I would be entitled to £50 worth of ASDA vouchers once they have the details which is very nice of them but unfortunately I would rather not take the vouchers in exchange for the information because they did sweet FA for me.

My only concern is that withholding this information may lead them to forwarding negative feedback with JCP. I'm not sure what they could really say as during the 2 year period I have worked for around 9 months in temporary positions I found myself.

    Thanks!
