They don't realise the stress & worry they put people under.

Of course they realise. The whole point of the new, stricter regime is to stress you out, to put pressure on you, so that you'll sign off benefits. They do not care whether you get a job or not.

I know I have beaten both my ex provider and the jobcentre for none attendance on the work programme, the jobcentre know they cannot sanction me for not going, but now they are taking an even closer look at what I apply for and mention sanction to me all the time. I say go ahead you only give me credits for NI so not really going to lose anything if I do get sanctioned and doubt that I would really bother about appealing the decision anyway.

at the jobcentre they just tick next to youre name, i think they also let them know you are there, wich is why i think they are quick to go and see if you are there so they can put failure to attent, but if they know im there they keep me waiting, i think some of them get of on the power, like they think they are as important as doctors, keeping people waiting for them
ok, so it isnt signing in. i thought it was odd because i've never heard of signing in at the jobcentre. i 've never noticed them go to check if your name has been ticked on the list before. you are right that they can often take the pee and make you wait. i think if they want to sanction people for being late then they should also excuse people from their next appointment if they are seen late.

Ok got a letter from the Job Centre today telling me that my time on the WP has ended and an appointment has been made for me to see an advisor for them to let me know what support is now available to me.

I can not believe they still use the word SUPPORT!!

What support is that? They can not get people interviews so they are going to be a big waste of time as they were before and as the WP has been all this time

At a guess my 'review' this week will be my last but no one at the WP has mentioned that at all
take the letter from the jobcentre with you to the review at the wp. give them a chance to say something about you leaving first. if by the end they havent, mention it.

i think they expect me to go in all happy everyday, but there are some days im a bit down, the whole situation gets me down sometimes, i try to not let them see that though, but once youve heard, so hows jobsearch going, everyday for the past 3 weeks it gets old. they see any type of non positive attitude as must not be doing enough. its hard to stay positive. specaiyl when there no new jobs cuz youve applied for everyone of them. i also think they are annoyed over the not giving them access thing too.
i tend to manage to hover somewhere between neutral and fake positivity. of course if the miracle happens and theres something to genuinely feel positive about then the positivity shown is genuine.

I think it's more about caring to appeal any sanction than anything else. But the jobcentre are also trying to get me to get me to re-engage with the work programme, saying they can help arrange training or extra learning for me.

I personally can't see the point in explaining to two sets of people what I have done to look for full time work and neither one offering any advice or any real solution to getting full time work. Thankfully I am working part time but nothing more than 10 hours per week. So hopefully I can get something else when I am actually employed.

be careful because the rules probably say once you agree to re-engage it then becomes mandatory for you and you cant get out of it.
regarding appeals. i would still appeal simply because it messes them about a bit and you might win. it also makes them look bad if you win. they dont want people to appeal so if you dont you do them a favour.

I am and if they book me more appointments I will say the letter says the WP has ended so I will have to contact the JC to check if I need to attend.
I emailed my WP today with my weeks worth of jobs and a note saying I had this letter. No reply as per usual!

Having said that when I got referred the letter did say that you have to attend till the DWP tell you its ended not the other way round.

I was on the work programme for a number of months (have been in full time employment for 3 months now:D) the way the 'employment advisors' treat people (their 'customers')was disgusting, they just sat around doing nothing, running around being immature, calling people names, talking about what they did the night before (I heard one of them asking the guy in charge 'did you lick her out' whilst pointing to some girl) and they were rude and useless. So glad I don't have to go there or the job centre anymore, and they didn't help me get a job, i did it all my self.
