no he hasn't mentioned the website yet and I've had 2 appointments with him this week - something suspicious about that - but I'm applying via reed and totaljobs anyway so I can show him those

Bottom line is it's only a matter of time before they catch you out with something

he has told me that's what he is doing

you have been told my a jsa advisor that they are trying to catch you out?

If so you should have asked to see the manager and get them to repeat it

my advisor is on a power trip no doubt about it

but Leroy28 is right you have to choose your battles with these sad twerps very carefully

If he over steps the line and I know I can definitely get him into trouble I will

as it stands he knows he holds all the cards and he has already in a very sneaky way tried to bait me but let him be a creep!

I'm not interested in wasting my energy fighting with that little b*tch

well said mate dont give in to em, its what they want isnt it. its really does seem like the whole point is to degrade but i think weve all accepted that by now, i mean if we can give them permission to look at our account, then thats no differnt to going to the jobcentre, basicly my laptop is a jobpoint, and she can still check and see if you give them the permission, but why shouldf i if they are still asking me to go to the jobcentre daily.

they should give you 2 options, let them have access to youre universal jobsearch account and search everyday at home, or come into the jobcentre everyday. pretty simple really, wich just means this is to degrade only, nothing else.
  • Can anyone confirm to me that everyone who completes the 2 year work programme will have to sign on daily? or is it once weekly? or has anyone completed the WP and still signed on once every 2 weeks? It seems a bit confusing?? Does the distance you live from the JCP office come into consideration.

from what I can gather from this thread it varies from area to area of the country

I left the WP about 6 weeks ago and signed on normally for a couple of times fortnightly and thought that was what I was going back to

then I went in on my usual signing day and was told I had to see an advisor the next day

basically I have been going to various appointments ever since - 4 this week - at least 3 next week - including actually signing on

leroy28 who's on this thread too says goes in for 10 minutes every day

I'm in London and I think the Job Centre has more money to spend on stupid courses and more staff to see people which may not be the case in smaller towns

one thing I can say - brace yourself to be hassled

I know someone who has finished their WP.They've been asked to attend every 2 weeks as per usual so far.The new game is more moc interviews and go nowhere training being dished out to some claimants.Failing this, they have 100s of minimum wage warehouse jobs available.

If you have to attend the JC out of normal signing times you can claim transport/bus fare costs, at least you can in my town.

As grai above points out, be prepared for hassle, and remember the economic collapse is all our fault don't forget .lol

Give as you as you get and do record them. They are now trying harder than ever to make sanctions stick, nothing about constructively helping us get into work. It will be interesting to see how they now cope with the overspill of unemployed coming off the WP and back into the JC more regular than ever.

I'm not sure they will be swamped - certainly not in London where they have the staff because people are also GOING ONTO the WP as people like us are coming off

if they have any sense they will balance those numbers to keep a balance and prevent chaos

of course we all know they do not have the sense they were born with so who knows - there isnt a person in the building in my JC that gives a toss about anything that happens - the atmosphere is one of complete shutdown and indifference from everyone - apart from the odd geeky creep like my advisor who gets a kick out of the power over people (he's about 5'6" this guy - I think they call it The Small Man Syndrome)

so to keep the whole thing flowing they are sending people ONTO a Work Programme they know doesn't work just so that they can have enough staff free to hassle the people COMING OFF the Work Programme!

    you couldnt make it up
