After they work out they cant get you a gap in the work for nothing market they will most probly park you and then put you on a basic maths and english cours for months.The whole thing is only half good for someone who has never worked in their lives,so they will get a chance to experience the world of work.But for those of us the age of 35+ who have worked since age 16 onwards its absolutely useless.Been on it 5mths and so far had 5 appointments done a few job searches which had to be carried out at the providers office,i felt like some stupid little boy.Big brothers watching you tactics"its totally pathetic, and will fail"
I am forever shocked at this. I have a friend (40) on a software course - she s better at it than her 'tutor'.0 -

Hi November5th;
I am amazed they have allowed your friend to attend any relevant course, as i couldnt even get a basic microsoft admin course unless i paid for it myself.Have a friend who works in electrical engineering and cant even get on any funded course.The provider just keeps banging on about a jobs a job,blah, blah, blah, blah, :rotfl:and how about burger king? "this is for real" they just want to collect their big fat fee from the tax payer at everyones expense,quality of life! we are not entitled to it as we are unemployed :mad:

Out of cash
It's such a MASSIVE waste pf money! She also told me that they were dragging out what would really only be a couple of hours over a month. It's a total fake. I do not know why they are so desperate to put unemployed people in rooms on various days! Oh yeah, the money..0 -

How am I lucky? They are meant to be helping us, no? Having said that I was told they wont be able to help me.
apologies,but i thought you may have been aware of how this system works. Its very unlikely to help anyone realisticly get a fulltime job.If you do, and this is found by your own effort the provider can still claim their fat fee from the goverment.
sorry for my sarcasm,but i am sick to death of the politicians taking the p out of everyone spouting what a great deal this all is.
It dosent matter what political opinion you are of,but its plain to see why this wont produce the results it was intended for.By shoving people in a room doing mindless job searches of which i am sure the average person can do quite well at their home,and asking them to redo their cv 100 times is not going to make a scrap of difference as to job market conditions,which are the worst ive seen in 35years.0 -
Good luck to everyone who is genuinely trying to find work.
i really do wish you luck ,including for myself.lol0
