well I had my second "job search" today, it went about as well as last time lol
They have obviously bitten off more than they can chew, I have to go back in 3 weeks to do another job search and then a week later I'm having a telephone interview with an advisor. This is because they have far too high a case-load for them to see everyone in person now.0 -
Thats interesting. Mine has mentioned they have a high case load but nothing has been said yet about phone interviews. Ive got another appt tomorrow so boring........ and to cap it all i have just had a letter saying they want to raise the rent from April. Where do they think all this money comes from greedy sods.:footie:0

yeah the cost of living always goes up by more than the jsa rate and then we have to put up with benefit bashers saying people shouldnt get any increase in jsa. the government is even looking into changing the way the jsa increase is worked out so that they can reduce it.and to cap it all i have just had a letter saying they want to raise the rent from April. Thats shocking.:footie:0 -
yeah, i also have a job log sheet. i dont mind filling that in. however i dont like people snooping into what i see as my private business. as she confirmed the legal minimum is 3 a week then that is all she will be getting on the sheet. of course i do more than that but that will be between me and the potential employer like it should be.I was only assked to keep a record of the direct jobs I have applied for so I email them a mega listing of the link, who the company was and jobs etc like this:

yeah it was a while ago. i am not sure on the exact details but i think they currently base it on interest rates. i think they want to change it to the consumer price index which would mean a smaller increase.0 -
is this a sheet they gave you to fill in? I haven't been given anything but then I expect nothing since this week will be only my 2nd appointment since JULY last year when I was refered.donnajunkie wrote: »yeah, i also have a job log sheet. i dont mind filling that in. however i dont like people snooping into what i see as my private business. as she confirmed the legal minimum is 3 a week then that is all she will be getting on the sheet. of course i do more than that but that will be between me and the potential employer like it should be.0 -
