Oh I have to keep two seperate logs as I email ones to the WP and the written ones which covers all jobs I apply for I take to the JC. She looked at EVERY job last week and told me off like I was a 5 year old for not writing down the reference numbers but I fill it in like this
Where the job was advertised, the date, the job title, where the application went to and the date it went.
She then said sorry when she realised I put if it was an agency or a direct company.
I did tell her I could make up the reference numbers if she wanted and since my job agreement says only 6 jobs a week and I had applied for over 100 did she advise I only write down 6 if she wants all the reference numbers also as it takes me hours to write down.
She said 'I can see you are applying for more than needed so just do what you are doing as long as it has the company name' (I have always stated the company name)
I told her all the online ones like via Reed, Mosnter, Jobsite etc are all held also in my online account with these sites but she said she can't check (even though before she wanted ref numbers) as they have NO access to the web!! LOL0 -
Has anyone had any dealings with Working Links and the Work Programme? I've got a 3 hour induction on Thursday and aren't looking forward to it at all.0

Went to my 2nd appointment today in 7 mths and it lasted a grand total of 14 mins!!
I asked how long we get now thinking it was 30 mins and she said 15!
Travelled 8 miles on a bus taking 1 hour to do so to get there by 9am and turned out pretty much after that.
This is the FIRST time I have seen my real advisor. I was set one lot of homework only which only to prove to them on a weekly basic by email that I have applied for FIVE jobs! I asked why 5 and she said she/they can't keep up on what I send them let alone everyone else.
That was it! What a waste of a visit. She said 'I wish everyones searches were as big as yours and as detailed' Hillarious that they aren't really.
There was nothing she could advise as she said I am doing it all and 'something will come up soon'.
Yeah sure it will. Go back in a month, wow!0 -
ive had my appt this afternoon. Advisor did a search with me and we applied for 2 jobs along with the hundreds of others:D.
She has also put me forward for a city and guilds course in customer care 2 days next week. Appointment in 2 weeks time she said they have to see me every 2 weeks.
They have a money service you can access she told me today. I have an appt on Friday someone comes in and can help with money questions. I am going to get some advice about my rent rise.:footie:0 -

A couple of weeks ago I applied for a couple of library assistant jobs which I mentioned when I went to the WP yesterday (no one has asked to look at my job book since before Christmas I was just chatting to one of the advisors. ) I've just checked my job email account and found an email from the advisor with a link to a library assistant job and a message saying if I hadn't already I should apply for it.
I thought "oooh good, some actual help" opened the link, the closing date for applications was the 16th of Feb :silenced:
At least he thought of me though :rotfl:0 -
donnajunkie wrote: »obviously their 2 brain cells have kicked into gear and have realised that if people just write the names of companies on a job log that they could do that and not bother applying and they wouldnt know. so they ask for things like the ref number, a copy of your application etc for proof. the idiots dont realise that you can give them all that and still not be bothering to apply.0

If this what the workfare or force is about then im glad i am a business man! Suppose the best way to solve unemployment is go back to basics and help people out hope martin could start a thread to help people out like "support people back in to work" thread on mse. Just a idea.
Then again just print all post out or show this link to a JSA advisor. See what you say! say what you see as in That Bloke From catchphase used to say."MSE Money saving challenges..8/12/13 3,500 saved so far :j" p.s if i been helpfully please leave me a thank you but seek official advice at all times from a pro0
