You are being held to the same JSAG as before, therefore you cant be asked to do anything different, or be sanctioned for something thats not in your JSAG.

The only difference between using UJM and a written job search history is that you cant lie to them using UJM like you can with a written account. If you are genuinely looking for work you wont have any problems giving access to UJM, the ones who will get sanctioned are the skivers who say they are looking for work when they really arent, now they will get found out. They hide behind the online privacy issue but the facts are they dont want to use it because their skiving will get found out.
if you can lie on a written account why cant you on ujm? do they contact the employers to check that you have applied? even then a skiver can easily sabotage things with a poor application.

its for 6 months. the aim is to have people in more often but whether it will work out that way for everyone is another matter. they may target people they think are shirking and go easy on others. if they only have upto 5 advisers i cant see them being able to maintain a once a week attendance for everyone.

True, they may not check everything you say you do on UJM, but if they do check and you have lied about a job application on there, you will be found out. Its no different to printing out a job on the job points, you take it to an advisor, who gives you the job contact details, and they also log it on the system and check you have applied for that job.

The whole JCP set up is there to catch you out, UJM is no different and no worse than doing it via the paper route.

The idea with the UJM record keeping is to make sanctions easier for them...

Not forgetting that claimants who are sanctioned are not officially unemployed and are registered as no longer claiming unemployment benefits on the LMS (Labour Market System).

"If a claimant fails to undertake any activity required as a condition of their participation on the Work Programme without good cause, then a doubt may be raised against their claim. These doubts are referred to the DWP Sector Decision Makers (SDMs). Once the SDM has made a decision on whether to sanction or disallow/allow a referral, they enter their decision on a system called DMAS (Decision Making and Appeals System). The decision is also sent back to the Jobcentre Plus office for entry to LMS (Labour MarketSystem) and JSAPS (JSA Payment System)which then makes the appropriate changes to the actual payment to the customer."

A very handy way to manipulate official unemployment figures.

Well I have just had a call from the work programme provider and they thought I was still claiming JSA and not credits only, the jobcentre didn't inform them that I had a change of circumstances since I last participated in the WP. Oh well I was actually told by the JC that I need not attend but if I wanted a CV or training course then I would have to re engage with the WP. Hopefully they will sort it out between themselves.

Shame the the so called work brokers don't know the rules but then again shame that the JC drones don't know them either.

what you are talking about here is when you are refered for a job. this has always been something they can do whether on ujm or not.
