I cant beleive you let the advisers push you around.
All you have to do is do everything what is writen down in your directions and nothing more or less.
Never give them access to your account, it is yours and they cannot force you to give it to them.
If they harass you put in a complaint to your MP.
You cannot get sanctioned if you do these things.
Just do everything they say but never never give them access, That is a sure way to get sanctioned .
Untick the box, you know it makes sense.
the trouble is I think it will provoke them and they are obviously looking for any excuse at this stage to have a chance to be nasty and start sanctions or whatever
if push comes to shove I'll sign on the sick for long enough to make a new claim I'm under my doctor and on medication for depression0 -
Like you say, they cant sanction you for anything thats not in your JSA, this doesnt change if you allow them access, for example, if you JSAG says you are looking for 30hrs a week as thats all you can work due to poor health, they cant sanction you if you dont apply for a job thats recommended to you thats more than 30 hrs.
You are no more likely to be sanctioned if you allow them access, its the same JSAG in use, so you are held to the same rules.
Im sorry but if you give them access it just gives them another tool to trick you into a sanction.
Why give them that.
Dont tick the box you know it makes sense.0 -

It doesnt matter if they feel provoked.
As long as you have done everything that is asked of you they cannot sanction you. Its as simple as that.
If they dont like it TOUGH on them.

If it was mandatory there would be NO box to tick instead it would just say 'by setting up this account you allow the job centre access' and as it don't that can not make you tick it unless its on your agreement and I doubt people have that on theirs.
Yes youre right, if only people would realise that.0 -
Another thing I just remembered was the threat of "dont just look on the Universal Jobmatch and apply for a load of jobs the day before you come in because we can check when you signed in to it."
A very needless threat really. I would still be applying for the jobs, who cares what day it's on, one day isn't going to make a difference
forgot to add they do pay bus fare tickets for non signing days with your adviser.
It does sound quite easy at the moment but it's a mess, instead of just going in and saying here is what I have applied for, you have all this other crap of them checking when you looked on the UJ website, having to fill the activity history "diary" in everyday as he called it and like I said even if there isn't a job to apply for on a certain day, you still have to write "no suitable vacancies today" onto the activity history notes just so they can see you checked.
I don't know if this will happen in every jobcentre though.
DWP/Jobcentres could not resist taking liberties, sticking their foot in it and carrying out illegal monitoring of internet activity, as in login times.
There has been no disclosure on UJM site that is happening, not surprisingly.
How you record & present your jobsearch is really up to you.
They can't tell you how to use UJM, as it's your account, it belongs to you, other than you should use it to look for jobs along with your other methods.
It's like someone telling you how to use your facebook or email account.
It's trickier for you now, as you seem to have allowed access & agreed to record your jobsearch online. Not sure if you have agreed that in writing.0 -

You are being held to the same JSAG as before, therefore you cant be asked to do anything different, or be sanctioned for something thats not in your JSAG.
The only difference between using UJM and a written job search history is that you cant lie to them using UJM like you can with a written account. If you are genuinely looking for work you wont have any problems giving access to UJM, the ones who will get sanctioned are the skivers who say they are looking for work when they really arent, now they will get found out. They hide behind the online privacy issue but the facts are they dont want to use it because their skiving will get found out.0 -

It sends you to this link to apply which is not linked to the UJM account at all
http://www.vacancycentral.co.uk/j/jcp/2-351504/job.html
You do not apply via the UJM so they have no record you have applied
Yes you can add notes for all the other jobs you apply for but unless they are going to check ALL job applications you can out on the UJM or write by hand anything you likeWe’ve had to remove your signature. They're letting people who use UJM sign quickly and grilling people who don't use it for 20min. You said that in your previous post #3412.
They're just admin bureacrats, they do what they're told, it's lthe latest thing, that's what they're pushing. It's nothing to do with skivers, that's just Tory & tabloid lies, nonsense, misinformation & myths.
They've been told to force people onto UJM as they want people to go online, to be controlled & monitored online, they don't want all the paper.0
