Our WP place have installed a keypad on the toilet doors too recently.

Fortunately there are still open ones on the floor I use but the main ones are locked :/
oh no not like that we just are not allowing in via the building foyer so have to come up the fire exit now and enter the office the reverse way and if we need the loo the doors to the landing where the lifts are etc are locked so they have to be released to let us out but we can not enter or leave by the front door anymore. Maybe they had an incident but I don't know as I never asked.

Im pretty sure H+S would shut them down if they do not provide enough toilets.

Anyone know what happens when your 2 yrs on WP are up?

seems its looking as to what your end report from the WP looks like and if they think you need help etc and if you don't you are probably going to be left on your own as I have pretty much been on the WP so nothing new there

  • Their full of crap! love to see them implement this one on top of the 4.7 billion they've !!!!ed up the wall of tax payers money on a 97% total failure. Its economics and nothing the Tories or labor do will make this better. Its going to take a decade at least. They should shut their big golden spoon gobs and be lucky their all earning big salaries on the backs of the vulnerable while they spill this bull to us all year in year out.

Don't forget the other great idea of universal job crap invented to sanction people rather than find them work;).

    Good luck to all.

back to jobcentre for 6 months where they have upto 5 advisers whose purpose is to give you grief. tougher jsa agreement, attend the jobcentre more often, work placements, training courses, intensive jobsearch.

This 2012 report from the DWP tells you how the sanctions are operated in day~to~day practice by the SDM's.

"If a claimant fails to undertake any activity required as a condition of their participation on the Work Programme without good cause, then a doubt may be raised against their claim. These doubts are referred to the DWP Sector Decision Makers (SDMs). Once the SDM has made a decision on whether to sanction or disallow/allow a referral, they enter their decision on a system called DMAS Decision Making and Appeals System). The decision is also sent back to the Jobcentre Plus office for entry to LMS (Labour Market System) and JSAPS (JSA Payment System) which then makes the appropriate changes to the actual payment to the customer. "

So a tacit admission that the WP was an outright failure then! If this is such a good idea, why not in place of the WP? Absolutely ridiculous! George Duncan Smith needs to seriously reconsider his position. Why people such as him are allowed anywhere near politics is a mystery to me!

they obviously have an issue with leaving people alone for a while between courses. much better to throw money down the drain hassling people.
there was something on the news today about ending world hunger. does that include people in the uk when they get sanctioned i wonder.

Its amazing, 2 yrs ago its was 'We are putting you on the work programme, they are best placed to help you back to work' now my 2 years are up and its 'Oh you will be back with us at the JC as we are the best bet at getting you back to work'.

WP is a waste of time, the JC is a waste of time as they are only interested in treating you as someone who doesnt want to work, so they force you to do silly courses that offer nothing, they just take up your time so you arent free to do what you like, they wont increase your chances of finding a job, so its money down the drain.

The advisor at the JC was quite happy to blow 70 quid a day on taxi fares to send me on some crappy 'course' where you sit there all day doing job searches. If their theory Im not looking is correct then fair enough, but I am searching and applying, so it will just be a waste of time and money.
