As far as I know, nothing has been said about re-referral to the WP. In fact, I specifically asked what 'markers' (e.g. 1 year or 6 months) were to be set for re-referral and, so far, we have been told none.

I assume, the present incumbents do not want to be seen to be going back to the Jobcentre/New Deal merry-go-round that the last lot ended up with. At least not until after the election.icon6.gif

You've got to understand the game, the political game.

The government cannot afford to admit the Work Programme is a complete failure.

It is part of its key flagship welfare reforms which it needs to use to say to the public, look what we are doing, how wonderful we are, to cover its failure elsewhere.

The Jobcentres are not equipped to deal with people anymore & provide specialised or intensive support.

So the government creates a junk programme/policy for Jobcentres to look after/hold them for 3-6 months, until they are inevitably offloaded & re-referred to an outside private company, whether it's another dose of WP, rehashed WP2 or son of WP in some form or called something else.

Just recieved a copy of my action plan, containing two typos, two spelling mistakes, and poor use of punctuation throughout. This is in addition to other mistake that have clearly not been updated on my records. I am not perfect, but they are glaringly obvious.

According to my WP provider, one of the local JC's is sending people straight back to them after 2 years, in other words, they stay on the WP.

Got to say that makes more sense than taking them off it for 6 months then sending them back.

None of that makes sense at all as the JC and WP are a waste of time

There arent LOTS of jobs, and thats a fact, there wouldnt be 2.6m unemployed if there were lots of jobs. CH4 news reported that there was an average of 400k job vacancies available each day over the past 2 yrs, which means no matter how hard they try, 2.2m unemployed wont be able to get back to work.

You also have to remember its not only the unemployed who go after these vacancies.

you do not get it, do you? The jobs advertised DO NOT have to be filled by the unemployed and I know in reality they are not being filled by unemployed people hence the 2.6 million out of work!!

I apply for up to 60 jobs a week so there are jobs there just not getting the chance to interview for them.

If there is a job out there today advertised its VACANT

If its filled by someone in a job their job then becomes vacant

That job gets filled by someone in work and the cycle goes on and on

    PS

There has NEVER been and never will be full employment as that can not be possible and seasonal work is part of that etc

Ah its you AGAIN. The cycle continues, you register, get into arguments with people all the time, keep telling us how you apply for 60 jobs a week, people tell you that maybe you are the problem, as your posts on here suggest your a nut case, the you say you are leaving and will never return(unfortunately you do).

I wait for the 'Im not the person you are thinking of' post.
