Does anyone know if you Have to tell the work programme your employer's details when you get a job? I really don't want the work programme to receive what I understand is a large amlunt of money, for not helping me at all and for on some occasions being quite cruel. Is there any way around this? I hope that I don't have to give them the employer's details , I will be so angry if they benefit from me finding work off my own back

    Many thanks
do not sign the consent form or if you have retract the consent

do what ap007 said. if not the only other way would be to sign off, break all contact with the provider and dont even tell the jobcentre the name of the employer. one thing to consider though is if the job ends before the date when you were due to leave the wp then you would be refered straight back to the provider.

See the benefits board for my post/rant on referral to the DM at the JC from my provider

I was asked again what my job goal #1 was today and I told the adviser Senior Purchase Ledger or Purchase Ledger Supervisor and the reply was 'what's that'?

This is from an EMPLOYMENT ADVISOR!! I said it twice 'purchase ledger' to which I then got a shrug of the shoulders

    Oh dear good

You don't HAVE to tell the provider anything, when you don't attend your next appointment, a flag will come up on their system and they will inform the DWP that you haven't complied and raise a doubt.

You will get a letter saying you claim will be stopped if you haven't got a good reason. Well of course you have got a good reason!

At the jobcentre, you can either go in and fill a form in or send your UB40 with the details of your end of claim date on, you don't have to tell them what you are doing, just that you will stop claiming on the (date).

Once you start work the jobcentre and work program have NO power over you, but remember, you might have to go back and "re-engage" if the job doesn't work out.

Well yeah, I'm just saying, s/he will get the letter.

Of course, s/he can use it as toilet paper!

(as long as s/he keeps off JSA)

Why would they get a letter? As soon as you sign off you do not need to attend anywhere

    I did!

It's all automatic, I told my WP advisor I had a job, but I still got the letter. I don't think they know how to stop them being issued. In fact, that girl didn't know anything about the system.

    Letters issued from the WP?

No if you fail to attend the WP fill in a WP08 form and send it to the DWP who then write to you.

They pretend they know nothing but they all know how to fill in a WP08 form!

It relates to an appointment I missed in January because I had signed off, I'm still waiting for a reply!
