I believe they said they had sent letters when they realised they had 'left you in the wilderness' for so long and it was all they could say to not look more stupid.
they actually quoted dates to me so I think the appointments must have been actually booked, but the letters not sent. The first appointment I should have had was the 15th Jan apparently, so less than 2 weeks after the last one I went to.

I have to see a new advisor next time(again, that will be the 8th person I've seen now) I'll be interested to see if the lass I saw last time is still with them or not.

I'm taking my daughter with me this time if they like it or not (she'll be back from uni then) I've spent all day so stressed and upset about this, they are supposed to be helping me and supporting me get through my health problems and taking note of them, then they pull tricks like this. I refuse to deal with this without a witness.

they may just be the monthly reviews you would have had but still no proof and any common sense as to why they let it run this long with no contact.

Thank you! Thats the thing I've been trying to get to all day. I knew there was a perfectly simple "argument" that I needed to put into words.

I'm going to go and type it all up now while its in my head and then try not to think about it again until my appointment in June.

Yes if you have a problem getting it all out when you are there or find yourself in a panic write it all down in sequence with bullet points or numbers and then say about the lack of contact and that you find it hard all 6 letters never arrived and there should have been some kind of phone contact when you had missed the 1st and or 2nd etc.

Also if you are not aware that a letter was sent (so they say) how would you know it had never arrived?

    You wouldn't!!

Its like sending a friend some flowers for a birthday as a surprise and then ask a few days later 'did you like the flowers' and they reply 'what flowers'!!

Hopefully it's just a sign of their chaos & incompetence which they will never admit to, they just brush it over without trying to involve or blame you.

But obviously prepare for yourself if you get someone nasty who tries it on or if they are setting you up, which is what you don't need.

You are the one with the non stop !!!!!!!!

Who SERIOULSY writes letters and send them in this day and age?

Most people PHONE or email ASAP not wait till they go to the WP then write letters and send them 2nd class to take 2 days now on top to get to the agency etc. Someone then has to open the post and yeah lose them or it don't get to the correct person at all. By the time this has happened the job is FILLED!!!
lol, i didnt suggest doing it that way all of the time. i suggested it as a method to annoy the provider while you are in there. this annoyance may mean they eventually stop requiring you to be there every week. so i repeat you can do it the old fashioned way while in there if you wish. its your choice whether to do so.

well the WP finally got in touch with me. My last contact with them was 2nd Jan but on the letter with my next appointment they said I had missed my last appointment. So I phoned them up to see what they were on about and apparently I have missed 6 appointments.......6 appointments I've had no notification of AT ALL. The person I spoke to said they had been sent out in the post but I'm sorry but I don't believe that at all. One letter going missing I can believe but not 6, and if that was the case why didn't they phone me or refer me for a sanction?

I know they phone who miss appointments because I've heard them on the phone while I've been waiting for my advisor. Something dodgy as hell is going on here and they better not try blaming me for it. I've got enough on my plate at the moment with my health without them causing problems for me :( I've had 3 panic attacks today because of all this and just had to take some diazepam.
so long as they dont try to sanction you i would breathe a sigh of relief.

If I get a part time job, with fluctuating hours from 0-20, and still go to the job centre to sign on and declare my hours etc, do I still have to attend the work programme?

    Many thanks

Does anyone know if you Have to tell the work programme your employer's details when you get a job? I really don't want the work programme to receive what I understand is a large amlunt of money, for not helping me at all and for on some occasions being quite cruel. Is there any way around this? I hope that I don't have to give them the employer's details , I will be so angry if they benefit from me finding work off my own back

    Many thanks
