I had a review at 10.30 am and waited to 11.50am to see someone!! My advisor was there but not available' having said that I was meant to see him in November but not seen him yet as seen someone else everytime I have been there which is a joke.
I was told only people who are CIMA or ACCA etc will get a job in accounts.
Could not claim my travel at all this week so am £2.80 out of pocket
Have to go back next week for a job search and each week from then on as they are trying to tell me I have a duty to the job centre to attend each week while I am claiming JSA
I said I look for jobs all day every day at home and how is wasting 4.5 hours for a 1 hour job search effective
They are just !!!!!!!!ters who !!!! me off big time now.
I said the JC do not even know you are booking people in for these pointless sessions
My advisor came over and said they have seen all the jobs I apply for and they are happy with that but they are only doing what they have to do re the JC.
I am going to ask at the JC as to who I am responsible to and I can not be to both sets of people.
I have been booked in to a telephone technique session where they will teach me how to cold call!! LOL Yeah this will get a job I think not!

as far as having you in every week goes it sounds like they have decided its your turn to suffer. they will always say its because the jobcentre requires it. it is a standard way of shutting people up and passing the buck. mine has told me the jobcentre requires us to be in there at least once a fortnight. i havent been in mine for 3 weeks now. if i were you i would be tempted to annoy them by doing all my applications the old fashioned way when in there. that way it would cost them a fortune in printing and stamps etc. i would actually be tempted to prepare a few at home beforehand and take them in to cost them even more money in postage.0 -

When I sign next week I am going to ask if the JC have told the WP I must attend one day a week. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

got a call from my adviser tonight. yes thats right tonight. well around 6pm to be exact. just a courtesy call they said. they asked if i was still available for and looking for work. i thought that was funny. why ask such a daft question of someone who is on the work programme. they then said they would send me out an appointment. i said you already sent me one last week. they said yes you are right and laughed. they did come across as nice enough over the phone to be fair.0

donnajunkie wrote: »its possible they will try and get you to not do it that way but yes why not. if you are costing them money they may put an end to having you in there every week. you dont need to ask for stamps. when you have finished you just say i have these to go in the post. just go on the computer print your cv and covering letters off, ask for envelopes and then hand them over to be posted at the end. We’ve had to remove your signature. donnajunkie wrote: »i see plenty. i am sure agencies would still accept cvs through the post unless they specify email only. i know someone who does all of their applications through the post as they dont have access to a computer. basically its upto you. there is a way to cause them annoyance if they have you in every week. its your choice whether to take advantage of that. they think they can cause you annoyance by having you in and leaving you to it. so you could also constantly ask them for help with applications. thats another thing that may motivate them into not forcing you to be there every week.
If I asked for help they'd say no I do not need it
Oh yeah and agencies shortlist for jobs in a day so sending a CV in the post taking two days will be no good at allWe’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
