  • My WP provider is a well known charity. They use threats to bully people and are quiote happy to sanction them.

They are also currently advertising their christmas charity drive, to help people in poverty in this country.
  • My adviser left in mid November and I phoned last week so say I had started my job and I hadn't even been assigned to the new adviser yet. They are useless!

Maybe the drive should be re branded as "To help people into poverty"

in most cases any rule break is only known by the persons adviser and yet they still refer the person for sanction. they will then say on another day how they dont want to sanction people.

That's more than mine. The best mine suggested (That'd be the first one. I'm now onto my fourth!) are emigration (Is there anywhere in Europe doing better than here?) which isn't feasible due to family illness or retraining in the construction industry. Which, unless I'm very much mistaken, is one of the worst hit industries in the country. Mind you, this is a provider that's only just got around to testing 'clients' literacy and numeracy skills. A whole 18 months after starting!!!

this gets annoying after the 50 millionth time. how many times have the government paid a provider to test the same person many times over the years i wonder. once you have passed the test once you should get a card to show future providers to stop them from making you do it again.

I have never been tested to see if I can read and write or add up. Nor has anyone ever gone over my CV to see why I am unemployed, where I worked last or anything.

lol @ ' literacy and numeracy skills' it amazes me that they are still doing that to 'older adults' i remember doing those when i was 16.... and yet when you apply for certain jobs 'some require' you to undertake a literacy and numeracy test.. even the job centre do that can't imagine me i find it insulting, last time i was on the 'JSA' had a right gremlin of an advisor told me to fill out a literacy and numeracy paper (didnt do it tho) that is getting old and old that 'test' now the WP do it? oh dear.... and also after 18 months being on the WP? pathetic

I said it before and i'll say it again 'this WP isn't gonna last' the govt will stop it until they will think of something else for us to do.

2 more years i would think then it folds.

pretty much every back to work course subjects people to it at some point. even if you have been on the course before and they recognise you they will still make you do the test again. you could have first class degrees in english and maths and they would still make you do it. its partly to humiliate you and partly to get money out of the government. these companies can keep doing this and somehow its us who are the scroungers.
