  • aah thats ok then, I got wrong end of the stick....I do know some that have been asked/demanded to include them in the bcc of all correspondence.......weblinks for apps are fine I guess...though the untrusting of me suspects the WP forge and lie their way around and contact anyways in order to get their payouts
From the impression I got today they do not care what I do or will interfer at all. I was with the adviser for 8 mins after my induction thing.

you should avoid emailing them your 10 jobs weekly...for a start you are giving them the communication from the places you've applied for that haven't consented with you to sharing their data.....and the WP like to bully people demanding data for email addresses etc.

Including them in emails in effect is also giving out personal data, emails, the companies info....and the WP are notorious for 'following up' your applications without you even knowing....pestering the places. People have lost jobs and alienated companies thanks to that horrid WP

Also, you are only required to provide evidence based on your JSAg......they can not insist on seeing evidence of more, so long as you show them evidence of meeting (and exceeding) your JSAg requirements (dont know about yourself, but in past for me it was something like 3 applications per week). In a nutshell.....I'd never include them in your emails, nor send forwards......show them a printout if required, and even blank out the companies name and address, or they WILL badger the company if it seems promising to them
you have to show evidence of your jobsearch. you cant avoid part of that being the names of the employers. i agree though they do want to badger them. mine complained recently that the only details i gave were the name of the employers and not any contact details of the employers. the main thing she said was where are the job numbers? i need a job number so i can follow it up. i said there were no job numbers. this was the truth.

it is better to have one that leaves you alone than one that hassles you and interferes with what you do all of the time.

i think she assumes all of what i do is through the jobcentres website. when the fact is i use the jobmatching facility on the providers website. they are total morons. i have to provide a job log sheet of what i have done once a fortnight even though she can see it all by accessing their site.

When I was on the work programme I had never shown any proof of my applications, I showed it all to the jobcentre adviser when I signed on. When I was onl the work programme my work broker never asked for proof.

I went there under the impression they can get me a job. People who are not on it need to know it's a farce.

its the reverse here the jobcentre never asks. according to my advisor she forwards everything to the jobcentre. they actually send 2 seperate sheets once a fortnight. they send the sheet they ask for when you arrive and then the one you fill in while there doing jobsearch. i imagine the jobcentre will get sick of being flooded with so many job log sheets and tell them to stop being jobsworths. the provider in a neighbouring town doesnt behave anything like them. i know someone who goes to this provider. he never gets asked for evidence and his next appointment is not until february. this is at the same time as me being with a provider who says the jobcentre demands they have contact with us at least once a fortnight.

what are people doing about applying for jobs on spec there is a new section on the form?

Are you handing your cvs out. Can you think of somewhere different to go to all the time?

just keep a record of everything and after 6 months start from the beginning again. i believe they cant keep you on file longer than 6 months. so if a jobsworth asks why are you applying to a certain employer again you can point out the 6 month rule.
