lol, yeah unfortunately you can tell when there is just a card in there and not a cv with letter. even if you couldnt there is always the risk they could open them beforehand to check.Hmmm I wonder if you could send your Christmas cards etc there, :rotfl: Just put Ltd after your family and friend's names.0 -
i remember before these courses existed there was a period when my dad was out of work. back then people just had to put up with an appointment at the jobcentre every 6 months. my dad had several within a few months. when he questioned it they claimed they just pick names out at random and that he was just unlucky to have had so many. :rotfl:I assume Murphymycat has quoted my post to point out that I have made two conflicting statements saying my husband hasn't been into sarina russo for 3 weeks
and then stated that he attended 6 times in 9 days
whilst murphymycat HASN'T actually posted any comment on the post, I will clarify for anyone who hasn't read all the thread that my husband attended 6 times within the first 9 days of being signed up to Sarina Russo and then heard nothing from his "advisor" for 3 weeks
I am sure murphymycat will pop along and let me know if I have completely mis-understood his/her post.0 -
the rules say they will continue to support(hassle) you after you get a job. you will also get sent straight back there if the job ends within 2 years.DesertIsland wrote: »
In the meantime, I do everything I can to get a job. I've sent dozens of applications and had two interviews, turned down in both occasions. I cannot wait to get a job so I can drop all benefits and stop contact with the JCP and WP.0 -
i talked about this issue with my advisor and she said that she thinks if they have helped you with your cv that that is enough to justify them getting money if you get a job. What's really funny in all this is: The "Head" smugly informed me that the subcontractor still gets a job "outcome" (meaning of course, a monetary bonus) even if I find myself a job through my own efforts.
AHA!
NOT if you don't give them ANY details of the job you have applied for/accepted - they will pressurise you for a "contact name and number" for your new employer
DO NOT SHARE THIS INFORMATION WITH THEM!
they can only claim the money if they make contact with the new employer - it's handy have a friend whose company has just given up their contract to run a work programme !0 -

Hi
Apologies and grovels! I had a funny 5 minutes. I had a question about something on your post but when I read it I realised I had misunderstood what you said so I went back and deleted it. What I asked was about not having to sign on once you have 30 years of contributions, but I had overlooked the fact that this only applies if you are only signing on to get the stamp and not to get paid benefit, is that right? :rotfl:0 -
wow even if that was the case my WP still wouldn't qualify for payment when I get a job as they haven't done a thing to my cv, the advisor looked at it and said it was spot on and there was nothing he could suggest I did to it.donnajunkie wrote: »i talked about this issue with my advisor and she said that she thinks if they have helped you with your cv that that is enough to justify them getting money if you get a job.
I'm really at a loss as to what they could claim they have helped me with so far lol0 -
i have found it is guaranteed that something will be done to my cv even when the current version was done by someone just like them.wow even if that was the case my WP still wouldn't qualify for payment when I get a job as they haven't done a thing to my cv, the advisor looked at it and said it was spot on and there was nothing he could suggest I did to it.

Yes if you want or are entitled to JSA you HAVE to sign. If like the poster their OH is not entitled to it as they are (I think) getting a pension they only sign for the NI contribution but then of course have to go to the WP as they are 'looking' for a job but probably have enough ni stamps to retire. Yes?Murphymycat wrote: »Hi

yes Murphy - you are correct - my hubby doesn't get JSA as his small occupational pension from a previous job cancels out any entitle ment to benefit
we can't WAIT to give the work programme the bums rush!0
