i have seen it happen to people. this is why i sometimes suspect they have some sort of scam going on.
A scam? Sometimes I do wonder lol

All it is, is a BADLY run office who has no cash in the petty cash because they can not be bothered and probably think that you wont bother to ask again when they tell you they have none.

I'm with A4e, but my first interview with them has been postponed and I'm getting a letter when my new interview is. Do they pay for parking ?
Also do they help with start up for self employed?

    How do you know this?
i asked the jobcentre bloke when he refered me. i saw something on the news regarding doing workfare after it finishes.

it takes me 20 mins on the bus and then about a 5 min walk from the bus stop.
i walk and it takes roughly 20 minutes. i could get the bus but dont like being made to feel like a criminal for claiming so i walk instead.

Thank you, i'm just trying to get the broader picture here.

I'm moving, so i've looked, and it's going to take me, 1 hour 32 mins, 3 different buses, and a 20 min walk.

Just wondering what everyone else' travels were like.
    Save, save, save, save.

yeah it could be just a case of a badly run office. however i have never experienced this anywhere else and when you combine that with their lack of enthusiasm towards paying fares and their insistance on seeing bus tickets, it starts to look a bit fishy.

yeah, if it was 3 weeks there would hardly be any point in having a gap.

Erm because they are getting NOTHING from you if they pay the travel for you. Its another expense they have to fork out.
they have to see tickets as proof as to what they are giving you!!

it is what people are entitled to. whether they like it or not shouldnt make a difference. it is quite annoying when they act as if it is coming out of their own pocket.
