Does anyone else's wp provider have a constant lack of change? I had a five minute appointment with my advisor this morning and was then told they had no change to refund my £4.50 bus fare. I should get it next week if they have enough change to refund me for two lots! It just seems a bit sloppy and disorganised.
  • I was wondering, how long does it take you all to get to your work programme places? Bus, car, whatever.

i walk and it takes roughly 20 minutes. i could get the bus but dont like being made to feel like a criminal for claiming so i walk instead.

I'm with A4e, but my first interview with them has been postponed and I'm getting a letter when my new interview is. Do they pay for parking ?
Also do they help with start up for self employed?

I heard that the esa employment support allowence is changing to a universal credit, any type of benefit will also change to this. housing benefit etc will change to universal credit. why go to the interviews to get a job, if you dont really want a job, or they cant find you one. mine still says im ill, so doesnt know why im even there!, and we sit doing nothing for 20mins then i go home. again will come another interview to see if im allowed universal credit!. this government sucks!. everyones been made redundent, shops closing all over, and you are lucky if you can get a job without lots of others trying to get the job too. its ok for the unemployed people who have this interviews, but a nightmare for any disabled people having to go to the interview every couple of months, some have even killed themselves as they cant stand it anymore :(

Get the fare the next time or tell them you can not afford to get there again.

They owed me £9,20 last time as the one before they told me that they had no money at all. I was well prepared with a letter with me to tell them that failure to pay me would result in me not being able to go to see them again and then I would log a complaint but lucky for them they had money!

as things stand you get 3 months breathing space and then get refered back for another 2 years. however i believe they have plans to start some sort of workfare for those who dont get a job during the 2 years.
    How do you know this?
