it is what people are entitled to. whether they like it or not shouldnt make a difference. it is quite annoying when they act as if it is coming out of their own pocket.
It seriously DOES make a difference as they could be dipping into it if they do not get proof of the travel.

yes and that is all they really need but we've been through this.
No it is not as you obviously know nothing about accounts!

but they have the signature of the person claiming. why would you sign a form for £2 if you were only getting £1.50?

    you wouldn't.

Not sure what your point is here. Are you suggesting that once they have your signature they are going to forge it from then on in?

But you wouldn't sign for anything other than what you were getting but you have to have proof they are giving you the correct £ or you could just lie?!!!

So drop it then if you think you know it all and to be honest you haven't got a clue

the providers are a company and for ANY company to pay out for anything in the petty cash they get a receipt and a signature for the £

If at my old company if we wanted a pint of milk they had to get the receipt or I would not let if be passed through the end of month return and then the person who took the £ for the milk could be up for stealing as they have no proof they bought anything with the cash for the office.

I think you will find most if not 100% of companies work this way

As if that has never happened.

I was wondering, how long does it take you all to get to your work programme places? Bus, car, whatever.

About 20 minutes on the bus and then a two minute walk. It costs £4.50.

what i am saying is the claimants signature is evidence that the fare has been paid to the claimant and not been pocketed by the provider. the only time there is a logical need to ask for a ticket is when you suspect the claimant is exaggerating the amount they are claiming.
