  • I think that all the political parties and politicians are the same - all in the pay of corporations and out for what they can get for themselves.
Liars and charlatons to a man/woman.

Broadly speaking, though with some individual exceptions (John Mcdonnel, jeremy Corbyn, Caroline Lucas and George Galloway), i would agree. However I think it is imperative that we get this lot out of office ASAP. We can start by decimating the Libdems in May. They are finished.
The WP is exactly the same as New Deal. There is no difference. No training, opportunities or help is offered. Nothing, except unpaid slave labour which will undercut existing employment further.
  • Im no fan of the labour party as they sold out years ago, however they are a better option than these total clowns. Im looking forward to Nick Clegg, eventually losing his seat, as there is no way he will get in again after he shafted the students. Hes unemployable and should be thrown on the dole, his rightfull place.

Are they really though? Let's not forget that Labour started the workfare ball rolling with the New Deal and subsequent Flexible New Deal. The Work Programme is just an extension to those with worse sanctions. Sadly, there's votes in bashing the unemployed and disabled, and Labour seem as equally keen to attract them as the Tories.

As for Nick Clegg, I'll wager that after his drubbing at the polls, he'll swan off to Europe as a commissioner of some sort with increaded pay and perks. Why is it in this society that when those at the bottom fail they are thrown to the wolves, while those at the top get rewarded? All in it together indeed!

I have been told by my provider PPDG I have to see someone next week, someone who can arrange interviews for me. Has anyone else had to see someone who can do this at their providers ?

I didn't give consent for them to share my info with any 3rd parties or circulate my CV etc so don't see my meeting with her lasting very long unless I get bullied into giving consent.

I apply for well above the minimum vacancies on my job seekers agreement and do get interviews. What I don't want is them phoning up random companies giving my name out etc. For one its not going to make me look like a very capable proffessional person if a stranger has to beg for an interview on my behalf.

If I have already had it clarified they would need me to change my mind if I ever wanted them to send out a cv on my behalf why on earth have I been referred to someone who wants to arrange interviews for me surely that is covered by the same data protection ?

Since being with PPDG had to do that 6 day mandatory course, had to listen to guests talk about alchohol and healthy eating also had to talk to a money advisor. None of these have been tailored to me as an individual seems PPDG offers a one size fits all attitude.

Just me being on their books is not going to make a job fall out of the sky for me. The only other thing I do there is see my coach and show him my jobseeking record which gets recorded, something my jobcentre used to do.

Just hope they don't mention work placements anytime soon or can they not do that if they can't use my data ?

Not heard of anyone doing a placement yet on the WP but I do know my providers take part in this as I was told when I was on the course, as an oppurtunity had arose with a 4 week placement doing twilight in a factory and a couple of people did express an interest, so maybe it is voluntary on the WP if it ever gets mentioned to you, I don't know cause as other people have said they seem to be making it up as they go along and noone actually knows what is mandatory and what isn't.
  • Don't give them permission under any circumstances. You are not obliged to do so, it shouldn't affect your benefits.
I woudl also recommend not signing any action plan for the same reason.

These are not people acting in our best interests.

Tell them you will discuss, consider & apply for the jobs.

Anyone that contacts you who doesn't work for provider, tell them I don't know who you are, you don't have my written consent.
  • You don't need to; that's what the Jobseekers Agreement is for. That lists your obligation to the DWP to receive benefits.
You are not obliged to allow a provider to pass around your private info. If they want to apply for jobs on your behalf then they can send you the information and you can look at it and make that decision for yourself - and make it clear that receipt of such information isn't being obliged to apply for anything.

No they are not just giving me time to do my own thing at all. They have told me they do not get people like me so have no idea what to do with me and there is no help. We keep going over this!!!

That wont happen as I will ask them to prove what THEY have done for me..as I have ONLY had ONE appointment with my adviser since August 2011 they would find it hard.

I have already told you but YOU are not listening and that's probably why you are maybe having a hard time on the WP (you don't listen) that my provider will not send me to do a work placement ANYWHERE!
i can only talk in general and about what is most likely to happen. just because you get told things that may contradict that it does not mean it wont happen like that. by the way its bulls**t when they say they never get anyone like you. well think about it, are you really that special and unique?
