You say these 'course' are meant to give people a hard time but who is getting a hard time? I am getting a very EASY time0 -
If you ask oh and I have 'what help can you give me' and the reply is 'what do you want us to do' and I reply 'I dont know you tell me what you can do' and they say 'erm nothing' how then does that work?0 -

You are not obliged to allow a provider to pass around your private info. If they want to apply for jobs on your behalf then they can send you the information and you can look at it and make that decision for yourself - and make it clear that receipt of such information isn't being obliged to apply for anything.0 -

What's your experience then? LOTS?? LOL
I want to prove a point actually unlike you who moan I do something about it! I made the effort to write 5 times now to get replies and I still want answers.
It seems to annoy you as much as you have a lot to say about it too but probably no gumption to write a letter to get answers. You are probably a 'yes person' but likes to have a moan too!!!
IF the Gov and the DWP do not know what the providers are meant to be doing then how am I meant to?0 -

If I was 'like them' then why am I not sitting in the training room they have having 'training' or doing a course? hmmmmm
I DONT NEED ONE!!!

When a provider wants you to do something you have no choice in it's considered mandatory. Such activities have to be set out in writing. This is in the work programme provider guidelines chapter 3 that's on the DWP's own site (i don't have a link offhand). Such a text is usually referred to as an action plan; the point is that the claimant is meant to have access to this list of activities at any time. Providers can't just decide on a whim you have to do this or that. So long as you fulfill your JSAg there shouldn't be a problem.
of course these providers seem to think they can do what they like and cause trouble by referring you to a DWP decision maker as they see fit. But the rules are the rules. Also you don't have to sign an action plan. Refusing to do so will probably !!!! them off, but it is not meant to affect your entitlement to receive benefits.
You don't have to sign your personal info to the provider and if they are putting you forward for jobs without your say so then they risk breaking the rules.
What individuals do about this is entirely up to them and I caveat all the above by saying this is my understanding of the rules. I encourage everyone on this awful scheme to look up for themselves, make FOI requests, and get wise. These people are not here to help you, certainly not in my experience. If some people get help or enjoy the scheme then that's entirely their prerogative.
I doubt we will see the likes of Mr Moneysavingexpert Martin Lewis exposing this scam anytime soon, so it's up to us.0 -
Little yeah - I have been on it a year in July so not sure how you say its 'little experience'

I can only tell you what they have told me. You have no idea what level of chav goes to my provider. People who can't turn up on time, people in TRACKSUITS(!!), people who have to go on an IT course!!! LOL Like what moron can't use a PC!? My niece aged 8 can!!
If I was 'like them' then why am I not sitting in the training room they have having 'training' or doing a course? hmmmmm
