  • Good morning to all, happy birthday Churchmouse and hugs to Snowy.

We too have sunshine in the South West - I don't envy kyle the snow but it does look lovely.

Not much done over the weekend apart from sorting out the spare room and making piles for carboot sale to be done soon. Had thought about doing it this Sunday gone but hadn't really sorted enough - I have now!!! Next weekend we have DSD2 here for the weekend so won't be doing it then.

I did go to a table top sale on Saturday morning and maybe I will do that rather than a carboot. I could put some stuff on Ebay as well - but I don't seem to do very well on Ebay - I always get some non payers or people who mess me around some other way.

I am using up stuff from the cupboards this month but not a full challenge just doing it where I can.

Must add up what I spent in Jan - I think I am scared!

    Love to all

    Louise

    Morning all

Oh dear, another bad night. Either too hot or too cold!

Apart from getting up an hour and a half later than when my alarm went off this morning, I think I’ve done rather well so far! I’m wearing an outfit that I *think* looks ok, bedroom is still tidy since last night, had breakfast at home and have lunch with me this morning! I was very non-OS last week with muffin and coffee everymorning!! My insides didn’t appreciate all that wheat and caffeine, so need to be good again.

Last night I tidied my v. tiny room, now all I need to do is give the walls and ceiling a good wash and hoover the floor. But…I’ve discovered lots of hair caught in the carpet (apologies for anyone reading this over breakfast). A hoover doesn’t suck it up, but it does come up if I scrape my hand over the floor….but that is soooo disgusting! Any other ideas for getting hair up off the carpet? I guess a strong bristled brush would be an idea?

    (following on from yesterday)

Nelski Im surprised to hear about the P4ssy Cat Dolls, they've been an encouragement to my DS. As one of the girls has a cleft lip, so does my son, and he's amazed to see that people like that can actually become famous!

Oh yes Crazychik she is a gorgeous woman there is no doubt and to be honest if she hadnt told us all then I wouldnt have even known - Im glad shes inspired your son thats really lovely - maybe theres an element of being 42 now and that music just not being me:D

Rzl - I would say the health food shop will be your best bet

You should have seen me yesterday. I go to church just off the west end of Oxford Street and usually have a browse in the shops before getting the bus home. It was the tail end of the Russell and Bromley sale and I couldn't resist going in - but you should have heard me muttering "I do not need any more shoes... I do not need any more shoes... I do not need any more shoes... I do not need any more shoes... " :D

    I didn't buy anything BTW!

Thanks lil_me (edit: and Nelski) for the information :)

    Hi everyone,

Quickie as I've not had much time to post lately. Looking forward to the London meet.

DS rang from uni last night in a real state. He's buckling under the pressure and really worrying about his dissertation. I managed to calm him down and he seemed happier the last time I spoke to him - he knows we're very proud of him whatever he does. I just want to go up and see him but he's asked me not to. I hope he manages to see his tutor today to discuss it all with him.

I went to bed at 10pm last night as everything just kept going wrong for me! (well not so much wrong as me being clumsy)
firstly I spilled smirnoff ice all over the floor, then I went to make a sanwhich and the bread was mouldy! found some bread buns in the freezer, so as I got the mayonaisse out of the fridge and smashed it on the floor!
so I thought it best I go to bed out of the way!
OH has rang me to tell me he is going to buy some wallpaper and is going to finish wallpapering the sitting room! I will believe it when I see it!
I have a day off w**k 2moro so we are going clothes shopping as I actually only own 3pairs of trousers and 3 tops! and the kids clothes are getting tight! :o

    Happy Birthday Churchmouse

I had a nice lie in this morning as DH had a meeting at 9.30 so he got up at 7 to get DS up for school. DD is looking a little better this morning but she's still off school, she has managed to eat a whole chopped up apple and some grapes so that's better than yesterday. She's lying in bed watching her telly so I can actually get on with some things today.
