Still feeling like death warmed up (seems to be getting worse as the day is going on). I was supposed to be off to college this afternoon but I think I'm going to go home, cwtch up on the sofa and watch the devil wears prada

thriftlady - Congrats on the weight loss
NiteRider - Sorry to hear about your mother. At least now comeone knows about it and at least you can puch to see if she's had any more falls.
Mrs A. - I think everyone needs some down time now and again. At least you enjoyed yourself.
spiddy100 - Huge congrats to your DH, I think being happy in your work is more important than the money side of things.
Moggins - Really sorry to hear about your friend. You're right, I often wonder why so many bad things happen to good people. You laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same0 -
sorry guys, haven't read through all the thread yet.
Home again with DD2 this time, who's been sent home feeling ill.
Well I haven't posted since Saturday because I was just about to send hugs to Looby-loo who had had really bad news when I had a phone call. My best friend phoned and told me her husband had had a motorcycle crash and died, he was only 36. Leaving his lovely wife and 3 kids. We have been knocked for six all weekend. Such a tragedy.
Moggins news is so sad too. (((hugs))) to all who need them.
Sorry to put another dampner on the day, take care all BBxxIf you don't have something nice to say don't bother saying anything at all.0 -
I really sympathise for you ageandjo. I did my back in, in october and it was the worst pain ever(I have gone through childbirth 7 times and it was worse than any of them) I really hope your back heals quick. How you describe the walking around holding onto walls really brings it back to me.Make sure you ring the doc if it doesnt improve quickly coz its important to get on top of that pain. Take care, love Elaineageandjo wrote:morning peeps
cra**y weekend here, my flippin back has gone again:mad: so i have spent most of the weekend hanging onto walls to walk and in tears with pain, feels a little easier this am but still horrendous pain:rolleyes:

Have a good day all x“Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. Your really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world.” Lucille Ball.0 -
(((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))) to moggins and bargain babe - such terrible news for you both. My thoughts are with you both and your friends.
Seems like today is "black monday"... I had a minor bump in the car this morning
luckily no damage to either car (i nudged into the tow bar of the car in front of me in a queue of traffic, so luckily very slow moving) but I was pretty shaken up as it's my first bump and I've only been driving 10 months. The guy in the car in front got out and looked really scary so I burst into tears but he was lovely, calmed me down, and as there was no damage we both went on our way...
Been very busy with uni work hence no OS, hence me not posting on here for a few days. I have loads of uni work to do, but really lacking the motivation
I just haven't felt like myself in the last few days and the huge (and growing) pile of uni work seems like such a huge mountain to tackle and I haven't the energy. OH and I are really putting in a lot of effort to our relationship at the minute as we've allowed ourselves to become very lax since moving in to our own flat in the summer, and that seems to be taking up all my energy.
Anyway, :grouphug: to anyone else who needs one - sorry for the short and irrelevant post... xxx0 -
Oh no, there's some really sad news on here today, hugs to moggins & bargain babe. Makes my snivelling cold look trivial by comparison, but hugs to tinkerbelluk too as I know how you feel. 4 nights of cough/sneeze interrupted sleep is not good - I now know why sleep deprivation is a form of torture.
Still, it's a glorious day, so I've got the upstairs windows open to blow away the germs, plus I've managed to change our bed & do a couple of loads of washing.
Soy & honey marinated salmon for tea, with a veg stirfry, so hopefully all the veggies will make me feel better, along with a good few cloves of garlic too.
see you later :wave:0 -
Moggins-Hugs!
Havent really done much else sice posting this morning:rolleyes:
GP came and said hello and asked if I had any concerns about tomorrow...errr...just a few:D..anyway, have been told to keep resting and was impressed with DD's cake (he had a small piece with his tea;) )..he's a fab doctor and am very lucky to have him.
Chicken stock is coming on well. OH had to turn the electric off earlier as he was tiling around the plugs in the kitchen, so may take a while longer. Washing on airer upstairs. Parcels wrapped to be sent off and letters sorted. DW needs to go on again later as its nearly full again already
OH is doing well with the tiling and is still doing the fiddly bits around the plugs which he had to saw out seperately:eek:   ...i keep saying to myself that it will be worth it.
Anyway, Id best go as I need another cuppa and ned to have a snooze as my head is hurting.
Hugs to all.

Hugs ageandjo - sorry. I was thinking about you earlier but it didn't reach my typing.
Sitting here moaning about men.
This was a big rant about my DH and technology. Thought about it a bit myself and I don't need quite as many cables as he said. But he's still in trouble.
TV is so big and ugly it has to be tied to the wall. There is NOOO way he's making as much of a mark on my wallpaper let alone drilling holes.
Sorry guys - I'm taking a lot of stuff out on here at the moment. And there are people in the world with a lot bigger problems than I have.
On an OS note I've just enjoyed leftover ricotta and tomato tart and couscous from last night.
(sorry squeaky and math and other bloke types - it's just my man that gets me down really)
BargainBabe - at least you know now and can act accordingly."You can't get a cup of tea big enough or a book long enough to suit me." - C.S. Lewis0 -
news just gets worse doesn't it, bargain babe my thoughts are with your friend and her little ones also, the world is being so cruel at the minute
Well been to dentist, DP got his mother dearest to collect me, who didn't speak 2 words to me, not even a response when I said hello or thank you, and butted in every time I was talking to DP saying something too him, wasn't easy anyway as mouth half numb! He's out with her for the rest of the afternoon, knew this would happen. Will have a 'chat' with him when he gets back as we had already discussed this.
Off to try and eat something, really hungry but I'll probably dribble
One day I might be more organised...........

Hello Everyone
Feeling very run down what with being a full time worker and full time carer! But there we go, such is life
Back at work. Nothing happening so bored stiff.
Not sure what I'll do for dinner yet, probably pasta. Made a banana bread at the weekend to use up what was left of the bananas.
Hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0
