[Creeps in, hoping GR doesn't notice and think I'm stalking her]

I might have to - gasp - buy some scales. I'm not going to talk numbers (as GR has a rough idea of exactly how much of a task I'm facing :(), but just on a quick glance, there isn't any way I could eat the sort of food SW suggests without having to sell a kidney or two.

I did find however, that if I boost the protein side of my meals - and force myself to eat them, along with making myself drink lots of fluids - I don't have that compulsion to eat anything and everything in sight at nighttime. And because I really hate breakfast, I found the only time I can do the shakes is as a coffee substitute first thing.

So I might try that way.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

I have bought a set of SW books from Ebay, but, like Jojo above, my budget and existing dietary constraints do not run to fresh apricots in midwinter, pricey cereal bars and huge quantities of processed food. And the amount I need to lose is also classified.;)

I think I can sort of see the basic principle (eat healthily and limit treats...natch), but the thought of counting syns is no more appealing than counting calories, and just as psychologically counterproductive.

Sigh...like every other overweight person, it's not as if I don't *know* how to cook and eat healthily. It's just doing it that's hard!

    Hello hello... LOL

I am still really in 2 (or more) minds about SW way TBH as I really do not feel I can afford it - both meetings and/or all the fresh lovely stuff they recommend one eats.

Still looking at Lipotrim as with that I KNEW it is under £40 per week and that is IT - nothing more (tap water is free).

Ah......I really want to drop the weight but I really need to do it on the cheap.

Shopping for one is a nightmare...

compulsion to eat anything and everything in sight at nighttime. And because I really hate breakfast

Ah - so not just me then?

Night time - waking up and eating say a jar of honey or jam straight from the jar and the whole lot or anything else that I can find...hmmmmm

Breakfast? Nah... I start eating something well past lunch time. And continue till say 5 am :(

And I am fed up with people saying "you MUST eat breakfast" - I can NOT.

    Hmmmm

    Shakes then?

Or no hope for me at all?

    I want something:

    cheap
    easy
not involving shopping every other day for fresh (expensive) things
not involving slaving in the kitchen

ok I think I got an answer... Lipotrim or Cambridge... sigh.....

Jo - check your email, sent you the Mc Kenna weekly meal plan...

    Looking at Cambridge now:

    http://www.cambridgeweightplan.com/price.asp

£42 per week they say and they compare themselves to others but of course not to Lipotrim which is cheaper (few pounds but still) and pretty much the same just the shakes come in plain packs not with colorful logos etc (yawnnnn)

Will call my chemist tomorrow morning and check the price of Lipotrim.

Now, when I have done Cambridge before I used to have their apple and cinamon porridge thingy in the mornings, chocolate shake for dinner and chocolate shake or soup for lunch. I was on sole source so 500 cal per day (yeas yes I know, we all know but we still do it, dont we?)

Thinking cap on - porridge with cinamon, easy to replace with real porridge....and cinamon with a bit of apple? Breakfast sorted?

    Lunch ?

    Dinner?

Jesussssssssssssssssssssss - I can not calorie count.... I want it cheap and easyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Someone give me a pill pls... Or a kick in my backside?

I'm seeing everyone here talking of Lipotrim and Cambridge Diet. It makes me sad, because they are just short term fixes! Losing weight with them is easy, but it doesn't stay off, which is why I'm not going to use them!

I bought myself some new digital scales today. Going to weigh myself tomorrow morning, even though that's not the start of my fitness regime (not diet lol).

I've noticed 'The Biggest Loser' is starting again soon on ITV. I might watch it to see if it keeps me motivated! Although it didn't when I was actually working on the previous series, I actually put on weight, damn edit suites with their free biscuits and dr pepper!

Not everyone is talking about CD or Lipotrim - it is just me, muttering to myself.

I can not run, I can not do any serious exercise (high blood pressure) and I feel galf dead most od the time anyway (sleep Apnea).

I have no cash for bus fares/meeting fees/expensive shopping food wise.

Just really thinking aloud on here what is the best way for me to go to be honest.....

    :(
