All food to be defrosted is on top of the freezer, bacon cooked for going in the pasta later, all dishes done, apart from the grill pan as I was cooking the bacon, WM and TD emptied and reloaded, birdfeeder filled. I'm thinking my next job is to sort out the DR and clear the table then I can set it and put some stuff on it out of the way, ready for later, better put the white wine in the fridge as well!NST #10 Steps 7K 2/30 10K 2/12 5 a day 3/30 NSD 0/20

Good morning everyone :beer:embb, it sounds easy enough - water, salt, spices, oranges, honey and then leave it to soak over night in a bucket but in my head water in turkey is a bad thing so not convinced.
A word from the Science Correspondent
Putting the turkey into briny water (that's the salt
) will actually draw water out of your turkey. That'll help it crisp up :T It's called osmosis if you're interested to read more
Friends did us a turkey that way for Thanksgiving this year - nice but I'm not sure it was significantly better than just bunging it in the oven and basting often
And back to Flying ............... DH is peeling a huuuuuuuuuuuuge pile of potatoes, then preparing a big batch of roasted roots. I'm then going to finidh in the kitchen.
I need to lay the dining table for tomorrow (now that I've solved the headache of the seating plan
).
We're hoping to get everyting done for an early lunch then a walk before church and a drinks party
