I'm all done and totally chilled, the last few weeks have been manic but worth the push to be done today

Mrs C I have been in touch with LL
Onwards and upwards. Going to make breakfast and then crack on with the aim of finishing by midday so I can have an hour sat down before I pick my sister up. DH has promised to clear his tools from the kitchen shortly but I bet he tries to put the last sneaky skim coat of plaster on first.
I have a fresh turkey butterfly breast roast (5kg I think) and I am trying to decide if I should brine it a la Nigella. Has anyone brined their turkey before?'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -

Back from M&S and it seems I wasn't the only one who realised it was open at 8 :rotfl: the drive down the coast as it was trying to get light was lovely, I love my town.
Got everything I wanted and the shelves were bursting, how very lucky we are in this country. People standing in a food order queue? other than mebbes a Turkey what do they order? and how very trusting they are, don't think I'd be allowing a company to either A: get it to the shop and B: have it all completeI'm a cynical so and so, alas "Happy Christmas" was resounding throughout the store by staff and customers, and a delightful young gentleman served me.
Hex I wouldn't know how to brine a Turkey, I can bung one in the oven but that's about it :rotfl:
Coffee being consumed and crumpets gone, yum x0 -
embb, it sounds easy enough - water, salt, spices, oranges, honey and then leave it to soak over night in a bucket but in my head water in turkey is a bad thing so not convinced.
I wish I lived anywhere near the coast - deeply envious.
Breakfast cooked and eaten, portable north pole sorted and now I have to start on the clothes mountain before I have a shower.
I left the spare bedroom door open and two cats are already curled up on the bed fast asleep.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
Ding Dong Dusty calling
and a Happy Christmas Eve to each and every one of you.
Now those of you on the challenge list for a 12:30 finish get a wiggle on. I need to find my list and organise the troops, although 2 of them are still asleep.
Oh and Woody has had another fight and is limping again so that is it he will be staying in every night. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
