Quick reminder to check that you have no credit card, store card, catalogue bills etc which need paying.
I just checked and there was one I had forgotten about to be paid in 2 days time. Thankfully I have faster payments so hope it gets there. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

OK. Well. You know when you think you are fairly organised ................
................. and then the thermostat on the oven goes! Well, I think it has. It's just taken me an hour or so to do some basic walnut sponges. I've just whacked the oven up to max and stuck the oven thermometer on the top shelf to see if I can find enough temperature to cook my mince pies. I think I can safely say that the !clairs are now a complete pipe dream.
Oh, and Mr B is now over an hour past his hoped for arrival time home.
On the upside, the oven insurance that I decided to invest in a week ago ......... I rang them to find out when their answerphone service would say they re-opened - to find someone there - and an engineer booked for next Thursday! Still oven-less till then, but still not bad going.
Off to check listy for non-cooking stuff!Work is not my Hobby0 -
