    Done. All done!

Just the post-midday things to do now. HHI (or probably more like 2HI), making mince pies, just got some biscuits in the oven - DH mentioned that we should give a present to the staff at the nursing home where his dad lives - and following a visit there, we need to make a quick trip into town for a final present (that was supposed to be arriving today, but package damaged and so won't be here before Christmas now), and for some antibiotics for me (tooth playing up but won't be pulled until Jan 11th).

Phew! I'm off for a relaxing (20 min) bath - see you later...

Minion received a karmic backlash in the end. She is spending today (until KH turns up, which had better not be until this evening) clearing puke infested gibble off her bedroom floor. Lots of originally clean clothes, too. I am not best pleased with her, but perhaps this will put her off having a scabby bedroom for a bit.
    Ah well.

    Ooh, useful life lesson there:D

Bathroom and loo finished, hi fi and telly reconnected, first load of washing on dryer, beer boxes and gift voucher resolved and with presents. Initial dysoning of hall and living room completed.

    TOOOTS! :jYay, Merry Christmas!

I've just emptied the hoover - I've got a bin bag in the middle of the LR so I may as well empty it in there hadn't I? It got stuck and I've covered myself and the LR with dust - I've now even hoovered my jeans they were that bad!

  • Minion is not a happy bunny.

She is still cleaning - mainly because she's done beggar all since I went out, I suspect.

I was tempted to not get KH a present so she could tell him her messy bedroom is the reason he doesn't have anything - but I softened and got him a box of 6 walnut whips. (I remembered that he liked them from all those years ago ).

Anyway, shopping took an hour more than it was supposed to, as Minion wasn't available to assist, but I've just got some pottering around to do down here.

I am presently reclining with a glass of some cheap Bailey's knockoff from Lidl (it is rather nice) and Minion has crawled back upstairs (dramatic effect, anyone?) to resume the pit clearance.

I'm far more ready than usual.

:j:j:j the lappy has allowed me to Go Advanced:T:T:T

Many thanks again for the congrats :D I've been down to meet the team this morning :) and tour the building; and I start at 8:30am on Wednesday. And there may be a chance of a few more weeks' work at another office when this contract ends...here's hoping.

Flying :o erm nothing to report yet today. Woke up at 5am with anxiety levels soaring - totally irrational/frustrating/annoying - had to take a tranq - but the good news is that I don't remember the last time that I took one.

Really must do something - think I'll phone a friend and see if I can do a present drop this afti. If not I can crack on with the wrapping.

    Miserable weather here.

    xx
