  • Congrats roundtuit!

I hope you right and you that you don't have any other 'guests' as we call them here msgnomey! I can't stand them myself :o

Things this end haven't been great, the little spare time that I've had has been spent helping DH with his stuff which is not good. He's in bed still so I'm going to make the most of this precious time and get on with things. I've not done much so will need to catch up.

    • Make sure you have all the shopping you need to take you through to next week.. milk and bread especially! It is Boxing Day on Monday and Bank Holiday Tuesday so some shops are not open.. the big supermarkets are.

Not too bad. The bumpkin teens are with their Dad until Xmas Eve evening so I have the place to myself :j It's very quiet and I have exclusive use of DD's laptop :T

Yesterday I picked up a parcel from the PO which I had missed earlier in the day, and the last of the presents arrived this morning so that's a relief. I wrote 5 cards for my nearest neighbours and delivered them these are the only cards I have written :o

I will not need to go near a shop again, as the turkey, veg & fruit are being delivered this afternoon. Actually I have too much veg & fruit and will have to see if the neighbours need any extra as I'll be away firstly at my parents and then at my sister's until the end of next week.

This morning I'm getting the last of the washing and drying done. I have 2 presents each to wrap for my 2 best friends; we are meeting later for coffee & cake at a new deli place in the next village. It's apparently quite upmarket so I'll need to watch my behaviour :rotfl:

After that, general S&S ing will be done, wrapping of the remaining presents for my family and packing for the time away.

Love, hugs, sticks & spoons where needed.

    BBxx

    Morning, all!
    Bathroom: done apart from dysoning.
Loo: done apart from dysoning, 5 loo rolls on shelves behind loo so that should be enough:D
Laundry: one batch in, one to go.
Living room: cavity repair and painting finished yesterday :eek:so hi fi and TV being reconnected to surround sound. Rest of it is a disaster area.:rotfl:
Presents: all bought and wrapped apart from construction of 2 beer boxes.
Tree: to go in hallway as soon as tools put away.
Food Shopping List: made, needs to be bought. All pubs round here do food so if we run out
Rest of flat? It'll get there! Everything that needs to be completed by a certain time has been so the rest can fit in as it goes along. What? No, we don't have children, how did you guess?:rotfl:

I haven't got much left to do so a thinking of meeting DH to do the shopping and we can get some lunch while we are too. I have been feeling quite stressed this week and I know if I don't go I probably won't leave the house which will make me worse.

Can anyone recommend any websites/books for planning a garden? After our conservatory is fitted near Easter we need to start work on the garden. I am quite a novice gardener but would like to be able to do it all ourselves so thought maybe I could start planning soon? I figure if I put things in then I can keep all the leaflets etc that come with them in a little book and then I know how to take care of them.

I thought you were tarting your room for a different reason!

Minion received a karmic backlash in the end. She is spending today (until KH turns up, which had better not be until this evening) clearing puke infested gibble off her bedroom floor. Lots of originally clean clothes, too.

I have to go and brave the outside world for some fresh stuff. Air, mostly, I think.

I am not best pleased with her, but perhaps this will put her off having a scabby bedroom for a bit.

bonnie - I am with you on the cards, just not had time

Anyone care to join me for a 5HC? That'll be a Mudbath style 5 hour challenge!

Most of the presents are wrapped. The LR floor is blocked with my new worktops, and the Christmas tree is in the middle of the floor. The Snug is a tip, with most of the crapet blocked by the new floor for the kitchen, the DR of doom is stacked with most of my kitchen and a moster pile of clean laundry, and the kitchen mostly isn't.

    *and breathes*

ETA forgot to say I love the worktops!
