    wow

just found this thread, along with my old wii under the bed, dreading getting on it tomorrow, as not been on it for about 5000 days.......

    well i'm 46, and 5ft 4 in................my ideal weight for me is 9 1/2 stone, i'm then a size 10 and happy..........but i'm currently 11st 5lb and between a 14=16, and not happy.

I usually start the day of good, i have bran flakes, bananna and apple for dinner at work, drink lots of water, tea is usually good.............then it all goes to pot, i can got the shop and spend a fiver on sweets, plus i then have a drink at night, be it a wine or a vodka.............then i feel sick. And i hate myself, i then wake up the next morning and get on the scales hate myself and the cycle begins again.

I've done ww and lost weight, i've even done the cambridge diet when i was at my heaviest, and the 1st 3 days were hard, but after that i felt the best i had loads of energy and felt good, i still have 2 weeks sachets, and i've thought of using them up, but can't get into it.

    there that's it

    Thanks LisaJane,
I don't have problems with night time snacks, and do eat quite a lot of fruit, and nuts (not salted or dry roast). I think the main thing for me, as you do, is cut down on the carbs. I do eat a lot of white bread, and white rice. I'll try changing to brown (though I'm not a fan of brown bread), and see what that does. Thanks again.

Hi everyone, sorry I've not posted much over the last couple of weeks.

I've been doing ok, lost 2lb last week and 1lb this week so my total loss now is 7lb, 1st half stone, yippee!!!

It's so easy to feel like motivation is slipping away after the those 1st few weeks, especially when there are always parties and events that get in the way!!! I just don't want to feel so uncomfortable again this summer, so that's a good reason to avoid all that buffet food.

Has anyone else been watching 'Obese, A Year To Save My Life' on Sky?
It follows people over a year losing weight, and I've found it really encouraging.

    Good luck for Febuary everyone

Loved our trip to the West Coast USA. Death Valley is the place to go!
  • Oh god cleggie I know its gonna be a major challenge - I will probably have to repeat some weeks cos my fitness level is like a zero at the moment!

As long as I manage to finish it eventually I will be quite happy tho
