The thing I've not got to grips with is my night time snacking as predicted! I am going to stock up on yummy herbal teas and low fat hot choc sachets so hopefully I can preoccupy myself with one of these. I think it's a massviely psychological thing for me to crave snacking at night time and once I get it in my head I know I won't sleep without it (how bad does that sound!?)

This is so me too! I eat like a saint during the day and have a terrible habit of eating on the sofa at night time! I would also love some tips! 2 things I have been trying to do since the new year are:

    - Eating more protein to make me feel more full...this is supposed to be good as well if you are going to the gym.
    - Snacking on fruit mainly with the occasional fork full of pickled onions or beetroot. Doing this is a real guilty pleasure of mine, but one that I hope is reasonably healthy!

Similar to you, I feel that it really is a just a habit that needs to be broken, but I'm not quite sure how to do it yet!!
    Save 12k in 2014 (my target: £10 000):

    Total:£7564.11/£10 000 (as at 26/10/14)
  • Wel I have completely bombed at this the last week. Going to weigh in again in the morning and start afresh. There were just too many nice things lyin about the house for eating :o. So this week th ekids and I have hoovered ( ate) it all up so fingers crossed tomorrow I will get on the straight and narrow and sort myself out. Here's a wee poem for you girls to make you smile :-

Twas the month after Christmas and all through the house, Nothing would fit me, not even a blouse. The stuffing I'd nibbled, the turkey I'd taste The yummies I'd eaten gone straight to my waist. The wine and the mince pies, The bread and the cheese I should have just said, "No thank you, please." ... So as I dressed myself in my boyfriend's old shirt, I couldn't believe my bottom and belly -the gi.........rth!

I said to myself, as only I can, "You can't spend the year disguised as a man!" So away with the last of the sour-cream dip, Get rid of the fruitcake, every cracker and chip. Every last bit of food that I like must be banished 'Til all the additional ounces have vanished. I won't have a cookie, not even a lick. Instead I'll chew on a long celery stick. I won't have Irish coffees, or chocolates, or pie, I'll munch on a carrot and quietly cry: "I'm hungry, I'm lonesome, and life is a bore-But isn't that what January's for?" Unable to giggle, no longer a riot, Happy New Year to all and to all a good diet!

For those who are affected by this poem you can ring the special diet helpline on the following number: 808080028 (Ate Nothing, Ate Nothing, Ate Nothing, Nothing to Ate)

Ok wish me luck. Happy dieting xx

    Think I've got tonsillitis :(

I've developed these horrible ulcer type things in my mouth and I am in a lot of pain, having trouble swallowing or even talking. Been up most of the night because every time I tried to sleep for some reason I tried to breathe through my nose and then must have panicked because I have a blocked nose, and woke myself up.

Don't think there's any point going to the docs, so I'm just gonna attempt to dope myself up and ride it through and hopefully catch a nap on the sofa after I have done the school run.
    Starting weight 17st 4lb - weight now 15st 2lbs

First weigh in day and I have lost 6lb.:j I really dont know how that happened!!
I have been very busy at work (physical job) and I must admit that I have been really good with food this week. In fact for the 1st time in a long while, it has been an alcohol free weekend. God I feel better for that, no hang over and binge eating the following day

  • I lost 1.5 lb last week, I've been away for the weekend though so I'll have to be extra good for the rest of the week.
  • Would I be able to join please?

I am 4ft 11, and currently weighing in at 10st 9!!! I would Ideally like to have lost around 2st 9lb by July this year (ambitious I know- haha). Does anyone have any hints and tips, are you all going to classes, or just eat healthy, do more?

    Thanks :)

    Hi Hayley.

I am not going to a club, for me it is the cost aspect. I dont like to pay to be weighed. Its a personal choice, some like the support network.
For me, my diet has changed. I make different choices. I am not a fan of exercise, who is?:) but I do like walking.

    How about you?

  • First weigh and I've lost 3lbs- was hoping for more as I have so much to lose- but it was *week and I've been riddled with a cold so haven't been doing much exercise! Think I'll go for a big week once this cold has gone (soon hopefully!)
