Not feeling too great today, this cold has really knocked me for six and I can't say I care for it very much. Tomorrow is my official weigh in day but I feel 'heavy' today so unless I can get shut of the cold, I think I'm going to defer for a day or two.

On the plus side, I haven't done any comfort eating, although I did have some birthday cake yesterday, but I pointed it and was still well within my daily allowance. Plus apparently I made the chilli uber hot, everyone was nearly crying whilst eating it..... I thought it was delish :D one of the perks of having a cold I suppose. I'm gonna have the left over chilli for my tea today because I really can't be bothered cooking... I might even try to talk the other half into being a nursey to me :D

Sorry to hear that mummyofboys, what a bummer! But just concentrate on resting at the moment and you can get back into the exercise as you are able to at a later date.

Had a good week so far, but just got back from 40th wedding anni meal, not mine I hasten to add, anyway had the mushroom strogonoff and rice, followed by the most delectable sparkly cupcake - lemon flavoured and lovely, so not beating myself up about it as I really enjoyed the day and it could have been much much worse, usually it puts me right off kilter and I wont get back on the diet until I have to weigh in and disgrace myself, but this time I feel different about it - more positive:j so back to normal diet eating and bring it on scales!!!!!

    Well done all :)
Mummyofboys sorry to hear that :( I wish you a speedy recovery!

Whamfanuk- 10 miles on a hangover?! Ouch!!! But well done :) I think doing something always clears the head rather than taking a sofa day!

I have had a generally good week. I've cut down my portion sizes and made some healthier choices. I've been to the gym three times too. The thing I've not got to grips with is my night time snacking as predicted! I am going to stock up on yummy herbal teas and low fat hot choc sachets so hopefully I can preoccupy myself with one of these. I think it's a massviely psychological thing for me to crave snacking at night time and once I get it in my head I know I won't sleep without it (how bad does that sound!?) So I don't think I will have necessarily lost any weight on 'weigh in' tomorrow but at least I have a clear gaol for the week ahead- sack the nighttime snacks!!!

Back to Uni tomorrow.. got that horrible Sunday night feeling you get as a kid. Spinning class tomorrow evening with a super fit friend, I'm scared but weirdly excited :S Wish me luck!

Keep going everyone well done :)

And if anyone has any tips for the evening tv snacks then please do let me know! xxxx

I feel bad. I know I haven't been trying as hard as I could to get fit :(
Been trying really hard to stick to going gym at least 3 times a week but I think i'm not maximizing my limited time there with a proper routine.

If anyone has any suggestions on what sort of routine I can do for a beginner, would be very appreciated! x

On the positive, I have cut back my sugar intake. Chocolate is a treat rather than the norm :D
