Dolly- how did you get on at your weigh in?
Hi to everyone else!0 -
Good morning everyone, may i join in on this thread, i'm 37 years old, 5ft 7 and 10 stone something, the trouble is i'm a pear shape so weight goes straight on my bum, hips and thighs, i look and feel disgusting from the waist down, i have an older sister who weighs about 8 stone and has no fat on her anywhere, so i am seen as the fat one, i am fed up with jibes and jokes about my fat !!!!, people don't realise how hurtful it is, so this year i'm going to do something about it.....0

Hello all, great idea for a thread. I'll join in, if I may?
I just had my baby in October. WHen I first got pg I was around 180lbs. by 12 weeks I was 196lbs!!! By the time I gave birth I'd gone up to 248lbs. That's a total of 68lbs in 9 months  4.8 StoneWas my own fault - the only thing that would stop me feeling nauseus was bad food and I was sick until 22 weeks.
Two weeks after the birth I went down to 215lbs - a lose of 33lbs in two weeks. My baby only weighed 8lbs :rotfl: I was very swollen and most of it was fluid retention. Hideous.
So now I'm stuck at 215 and really, 180lbs was overweight for me @ 5ft 7.
My goal weight is 140 lbs so ideally, I want to lose 75lbs (OMG:eek:)
My plan is to lose 7lbs per month - totally sustainable I think at less than the recommended 2lbs per week. After the birth I completely lost the insatiable appetite that I had - in fact, I could eat very little. I'm better now and have a more normal appetite so I do think that combined with exercise there is no reason why I can't do it this year - my goal is for November and I do think it's doable. I need to as I feel gross, just horrible. I used to be thin permanantly and I hope to get to and stay at 10 Stone.0 -
I'd like to join with my goal being 3lb a month. I used to try to lose more than this but it didn't work so I am starting slowly
My challenge is to lose a stone in 6 months and then another stone by Christmas
January I 11st 4.5
January 4 11st 3.2
I will weigh in from time to time, but definitely weekly and on the last day of each month.
This year I cut out chocolate, crisps and chipshop chips for about 5 weeks before Christmas and I didn't weigh myself until January. I ate exactly what I wanted between Chistmas and New year, and I was the same as before cutting down.
You can see where my weakness is. But I have a Christmas cake still to be cut. I am also on the eating out of the freezer and cupboards plan - and only really need to buy fresh vegetables and fruit juices

My weigh in isn't till Monday so will post then. (I do weigh every morning as well just so that I can see if I'm on track but I only count Monday AM as my official weigh in)
Had Fruit and Fibre for brekkie, lrg salad with 1oz cheeze and l/f salad cream and Shape Caramel Dessert for lunch. Spag Bog for tea (homemade so I know whats in it).
Just going to take Christmas Decs down so that will keep me out of mischief.
Will do a bit of spring cleaning tomorrow and weekend as hubby not home so that will help!
Should have started Gym yesterday but DS needed car and its too far to walk - I know its an excuse!! Will be going tomorrow though regardless:rotfl:Lightbulb Moment - Jan 2005

Hi everyone,
I'm a newbie and was hoping I could join you...
All of the weight loss stories are very inspiring!
I don't have a huge amount to lose, about another 5lbs would get me to my ideal weight, as I've recently lost about 10lbs. :j
I'm pleased that I've managed to stay the same over Christmas, without gaining weight, but need to get back to losing! It always seems to be the last few pounds that are the hardest to come off!!
Hopefully I'll stay on track if I keep up with everyone's progress!
Best of luck everyone,
Paula xxAll you need is less0 -
Hey weesmiler!

Hopefully one day I will be at my last 5lbs I will be so excited but I can imagine they will be the peskiest wee ones!
