  • Have done the meter readings, usually do them weekly but forgot last week with it being boxing day, so 2 weeks worth of gas and electric has come in at £47.17, this is ok as i allow £25 a week for both and we have been at home a lot more with it being the school holidays.

    Hi Pennywise

    Happy New Year.

Sorry to hear about the pooch, hope shes starting to feel better. I've got pet insurance for my cat as we've been hit in the past by a £700 vets bill for another cat and I vowed never again, we pay £7 a month and if we never claim on it so be it, but its worth paying it (IMO) for peace of mind.
  • Last day of the holidays, seems to have flown by, but i'm eady to get back to work.

OMG the wind last night it kept me awake alot of the night, serious thought the roof was coming off, checked outside this morning and everyrthing seems in one piece,

Letting the kids have a lazy last day so they are watching a dvd at the minute.

Nothing new on the money front, nane spent but none made either, ebay items have a few watchers and i've not had any surveys so far this morning.

Even though the xmas decs have all been put away we still seem to have loads of clutter hanging around the place, so mission today is to try and find places for things, things to ebay to go in a box, charity shop items in a bag in the car to drop off tomorrow and things for bin/recycling put there and not left in utility area.

Work bag has been emptied and all tat disposed of including the manky orange:o.

Nipped to post office and sent ebay parcel, as postage is paid for i'm classing today as a NSD.

Off to have lunch - bacon buttie anyone.
  • 1 kitchen cupboard cleaned out.

  • Hope first day back at school went ok.

I have a day off from my main job but have some relief work to do - only about 2hrs but they pay my mileage as well so it all adds up - I think this will be paid in Feb though so should help my totals along.
  • Hi NL - is that B*y v£ts, we are with them.

So today has been a NSD.

All food has been out of stores, porridge for brekkie, soup and cheese toastie for lunch and having left over rst pork for tea, need to make some yorkie puds to eek it out a bit.

No money made so far today, but need to put some things on ebay.

We are with L0ngley and Birch, smaller practice but really good and not too dear. I'm properly inspired by this thread, off to count my wombled pennies, woohoo!

  • Hi E_E thats good that you get milage paid for.

Hi NL keep wombling pennies make pounds.

PWD i would forget about the choccie.

So first day back at work and i'm frazzled, forgot lettter to post on way to school this am:o, so need to post in morning, didn't get to bank as it was blowing a hooly and is a 20 min walk there and back from work, will go tomorrow.

I did manage to declutter 4 items from bedroom into the bin this morning, put a load of washing on just before i walked out the door.

Spent £25 on petrol and drove straight past T£sco, saying to myself i do not need anything, i do not need to just go and have a look just in case:rotfl:.

Have listed 1 item on ebay that i found this morning whilst decluttering a drawer.

Off to eat some cottage pie, sort out uniforms and veg out.
  • Good morning, another night of bad sleep, still blowing a hooly here.

So far this morning in my zombie state i've managed to drink gallons of tea, checked online banking, DD have gone out and i still have a little money left in the bank:).

Meal plan for next week has been made and shopping list to go with it, should be able to get everything i need from L!dl except for Guinea pig food, now do i risk going to sainsbugs sat morning after l!dl or do i pay a little bit more to get it from the pet shop where there is no temptation to spend more money, i know what the answer is.

Pack lunches have been made, including mine :D, wil try and keep this up.

Right off to wake children and get dressed.
