    Happy New Year everyone.
  • Well done PWD on the quidco money, i have only made 99p on ebay today but at least i'm off the starting block, only another £2011.01 to go:rotfl:.

Was very good last night and made pasta bake for tea, really wanted a takeaway, but threw together some bits from the fridge and made a yummy pasta bake and had christmas choccies for pud:money:.

Today i have thought about how i need to get back with it, use left over, not go into the supermarket for a loaf of bread and end up spending £20 on carp.

Today i have, put left over pasta bake in freezer, roughly 3 portions, but could be eeked out with salad and Garlic bread to do 4 of us.
Chucked some veggies and chicken stock in slow cooker to make soup for lunch tomorrow.
Used a hair conditioner thats been lurking in the bathroom for 6 months, smells flowery which i'm not too keen on.
Used a whiskey bottle tube to throw all my change under 20p in ( hubby drank the last of the bottle of whiskey last night), have another jar for 20p/50p and have started a grocery money pot as well, going to withdraw £50 a week for shopping (will need to up this in a couple of months when stores go down) any change will go in my pots except for £1/£2 coins and notes these will go in grocery pot as well tesco/sainsbury vouchers from surveys when i have £50 i will use this to do an extra shop or a shop from approved foods.

Tea tonight is a lovely piece of pork given to us by a butcher friend, having all the trimmings with it and choc profiteroles for pud.

    Hello Pennywise,

Sounds like youve had a busy day getting organised. Well done on resisting the take away and making up pasta bake and getting extra portions too!!

    Hows the dog doing?

  • HI mtg, dogs not too bad , she gets up and has a little potter about, keeps crashing into things as has no idea about the lampshade thing around her neck, thankful its the labbie and not the spaniel as we have to keep her quiet and not let her run around or jump up as it could pull out all the stitches:eek:, they would have had to sedate the spaniel would have been impossible to keep her quiet.
  • SNAP - we had pasta bake last night as well which used up some peppers which had gone wrinkly and then for dessert I made nectarine upside down cake as the nectarines were also wrinkly. God it was too die for.

Today is buffet food all day as it is DD birthday and this is what she wanted ( I would have preferred a roast but the birthday person gets to pick!!) so this has used up some left over salad bits and should do us for packed lunches for some of next week.

    Glad dog is doing well.

Anyway I popped in to say that I have withdrawn on some surveys so I have £40 towards my £2012 :j

Better go and change my sig!
  • Happy New Year Penny
You've inspired me with your challenge, I'm not sure I can manage £2012 but I will keep a tally of all the little extra bits of cash I can generate.
Sorry to hear about your dog, we have insurance for our pooch directly from our vet, it was much cheaper than Petplan which we had before and cuts out the middleman in case of a claim. Our vet is in Lancaster but I think they have other branches in the surrounding towns...Might be worth seeing if your vet does something similar x

  • Hi NL - is that B*y v£ts, we are with them.

So today has been a NSD.

All food has been out of stores, porridge for brekkie, soup and cheese toastie for lunch and having left over rst pork for tea, need to make some yorkie puds to eek it out a bit.

No money made so far today, but need to put some things on ebay.
  • E_E well done on the £40 payout.

Have listed 5 items on ebay, will see how they go, probably only get 99p for them but its better then them lying around gathering dust.

Forget to mention, OH popped in to see his mum yesterday, took 2 bottles of red wine with him that we got for christmas ( we don't drink red), she very nicely swapped them for a bottle of white and 6 bottles of lager:D.
