    Apology accepted.
Everyone's entitled to have their own opinion, however the first post of yours I quoted, makes you come across as a prat.

I'd rather be a prat than a mindless sycophant.

Or are "you" just soolin's other ID?

  • If someone asks me nicely I might consider a postage reduction for mulitiple purchases but anyone who thinks they can demand one will get sweet F.A from me. And they can leave low stars or negative feedback or whatever - life is just too short for letting this type of person get what they want. They also go straight onto my banned list. And usually, they completely ignore packaging costs. Idiots.

I am yet to have a buyer who offers to pay more when I underestimate postage & packing costs. Perhaps I should contact buyers in such cases and demand they pay more!

I see it as all swings and roundabouts. Most of the time postage charges are about right, occasionally over, occasionally under. The sort of people who bid to buy an item for a particular price but then are terrified that a seller might be making an extra few quid from the deal I do not want as a customer.

I've been selling since 2002 and never had any problems and no I don't check the dashboard - ever. 99% of bidders are fine and probably less than 1% are asses in my experience so as long as you're straight up you'll do ok with feedback.

As is true for all auctions including ebay if you don't want to pay the price DON'T BID!

99%+ of people understand this. Help the remainder understand this as well by saying no to such demands and eventually they will get the message. Those who give in to their demands just create a problem for the next seller. Fine if you want to give a discount but don't say yes to the demands of asses.

Just curious ,why did you bid on multiple items when you didn't even know if you wanted them?

I want one now. But i will want to add 3 more later on. These fitted the spec i was after and i missed the other model from this seller. So i bid on the next 4 just in case.

As long as i won 1 then thats OK, If i won 4 then i dont need to look later on.

No issue with paying and buying for 4. As soon as the seller sent the invoice i paid.

But i thought the postage discount was a bit of a poor show.

So what would you charge for a 2.5kg parcel?

    That goes for BLUEJAKE also...

Dont whinge about demands, I have demanded nothing from the seller and have had no contact with them.
I did not contact them and spend days haggling the postage down, I feel i shouldnt need to, Postage should be fair.

    Its buyer expectations and satisfaction.

It seems to me you are demanding the price you bid and won the auction at - is reduced after the auction is finished. Ask for a discount if you want to but don't be offended by a refusal. Be prepared to pay the price you bid and won the auction at. Requests for a price reduction should take place before you bid. That is true of ebay or any auction. The cost of postage and packaging to you would be £20 if it was my auction. It isn't some kind of mystery or puzzle - the price is the price that is stated in the auction not what you think is fair after you have bid & won. You would be straight on my banned list.

Do you ban all your buyers that purchase more than one item then? Why would this seller ban me?

I have not even contacted them. I paid their invoice.
