It seems that some did, but not in OP's case.

Sainsbury's should have a much better contingency, it's that simple IMO, especially for people who rely heavily on the service.

Well your opinion is irrelevant then because it is clear they did what they could. OP can have no complaints. Stop being so unreasonable and grow up.

Get down off your great big high horse and explain how they did all they could, when you compare to the service others recieved from the same company/employees.

"tough luck, wait until Sunday" is not exactly "did what they could" now is it?

Do you get offended if people have a different view to you? Is that why you feel the need to get personal?

I've noticed that you have said this on several threads everytime someone directly disagrees with you. So maybe it's you that is getting offended?

  • Would be interesting to know what caused this 'systems failure'......although in the long term, doubt it will matter!. A week before christmas, with poor weather in many parts of the country, I can see people like OP never shopping with them again......if I was Justin King I would start touting myself about with other firms

He said it because of this:

Whilst I may agree that they probably did all they could that's no reason to be so rude and dismissive.

What happens when you are in a fly-by-wire aircraft and the system that mediates the multiple command and control systems fails?
You plan for this and have a have two independently developed systems on two different platforms. First version of Airbus?

You seem to be missing my point.

Unless the flight crew have the ability to manually switch from one system to another the voting/automatic switching system is the weak link.

Even if the can manually switch, the switch is the weak link.

The overall point is that there is always a weakest link and at some point you simply have to accept this.

Well it's tough really. Not my fault that he/she is wrong and won't take telling.

    But whatever...

Sweeping statement. Please point out these "several" instances to me.

I am happy to debate any point with people if I have a different viewpoint, I am also happy to listen to others views and take them onboard.
