Easiest way to handle trolls.A smile costs nothing, but gives a lot.It enriches those who receive it without making poorer those who give it.A smile takes only a moment, but the memory of it can last forever.0 -

Sainsburys online deliveries were cancelled nationwide Friday 16th after a suspected massive cyber attack on key parts of their online shopping computer systems, which meant that routes could not be planned by their Sidewinder route planning system, and orders could not be picked and dispatched in the usual speedy manner.
The cyber attack affected their highly efficient computerised picking system which also failed, meaning goods were picked much slower than usual. Local stores around the country battled against the odds to delivery vital grocery supplies to the most needy, including the elderly, infirm, and mothers needing baby milk.
All customers received a phone call throughout the day advising of the computer system failure and given a £10 discount off their shopping, most of which will be delivered tomorrow. Sainsburys worked quickly to contact affected customers and identify those most in need, and apologise to those who would not receive deliveries.
There have been suggestions that it is too much of a coincidence that the failure happened at Christmas, the busiest time of year for the trusted and popular supermarket retailer. A number of reports that suggest a rival supermarket chain were behind the cyber attack have not been proven. Tesco and Asda being Sainsburys main rivals would be the main competitors to potentially gain advantage by utilising these kind of illegal techniques. Cyber warfare between major organisations is something that although rarely reported on, does happen, and can have serious consequences on both sides
Sainsburys is expected to release a statement later this evening detailing the extent of the attack, and the police are expected to start a major investigation into what has happened. There are a number of ways that this kind of attack could be carried out, one would be over the internet, though it is unlikely that direct access to the key systems could be gained in this way. Most likely would be that a spy was inserted into the Sainsburys organisation by a rival supermarket chain, to plant some kind of malware or virus directly into the system.
Depending on the seriousness of the attack key systems could be offline for a number of days, though it is unlikely that customers will be affected further by the issue as back-up plans have been implemented to ensure that grocery deliveries can be resumed as normal, hopefully by Saturyday morning.0 -

So, OP's local store must not have deemed her needy enough, or that particular store didn;t try as hard as the others to help......A smile costs nothing, but gives a lot.It enriches those who receive it without making poorer those who give it.A smile takes only a moment, but the memory of it can last forever.0 -

if this is the case that another supermarket has done this then that is shocking and they should be punished hard for it.
is it a easy thing to do to knock it off like has been done?
I think all staff at Sainsburys do a grand job and we should Thank them all not have a go at them.
i moved from Tesco to Sainsburys early this year due to the bad Customer service there and have to say Sainsburys is the best ive ever come across.0 -
Supermarkets don't make any profit on home deliveries from what I hear.0

How ignorant can you get?
Whatever you think about the OPs actions, judge them on those, not by making things up about them.
I dont think the OP ever said they were disabled, only that they couldnt get to the store.
That could mean stuck at home with kids, husband at work with car, flu, the list could be endless.0 -
