I have a Tesco receipt in front of me and there is no mention of VAT.

It would probably just be confusing clutter to a lot of people.

So you agree that is what this forum is for do why then when people disagree with you do you throw your toys out and real out your sentence about people being offended by differing views. So you can accept differing views as long as the agree with you.

The statement I quoted above is the sort of thing a child says while stamping their feet and having a tantrum because they can't get their own way.

What are you talking about? When have I "thrown my toys out of the pram"?

I haven't once resorted to personal abuse if someone hasn't agreed with my POV. The reason I said that to Sooth was because she/he did resort to personal abuse, can you not see that?

I have no issue with people having differeing opinions, in fact I enjoy the debate.

Also how is the statement like a "tantrum"? I just felt you were not budging on your point so there was no point debating anything with you, similar to Sooth.

Also you made sweeping statements about me earlier, which I still would like you to back-up please.

At least Rusty's comments are constructive and can be debated with, you seem to ramble and make hilarious sweeping statements, which are rarely backed up.

So it seems. I've just found a Tesco receipt out also.
  • LOL. The more time they have to spend answering phone calls, the less time they have to deliver. The call centre don't pick orders by the way!

A little customer service was all I am asking for. Clearly you think that's too much. End of subject.

On the one hand you say "The more time they have to spend answering phone calls, the less time they have to deliver." On the other hand you say "The call centre don't pick orders by the way!" which no one suggested anyway. Aren't you contradicting yourself? The call centre staff don't pick orders so the time they spend answering phone calls won't affect deliveries. No one was saying the call centre staff pick orders but pointing out the logistics of faxing every order if the system is down nation wide might be impractical, you're only thinking about your own order but they'd have to do it for everyone and may not be able too.

By starting a debate and saying "End of subject." as soon as someone offered a different opinion. That's about as mature as a child saying 'I'm not talking to you anymore.'

    Just checked Sainsbury's receipts.

You are right, it doesnt give a VAT breakdown. However any product with an Asterix before it's description is Vatable, anything without is Non Vatable.

Working out VAT then is simpler, just add the VAT lines up and work it out. The store shouldn't really need to do it for you and for accountancy purposes a receipt with the VAT Number on suffices. It does with my accountant and previously as a company rep too.

Morrisons seem to give you a breakdown, maybe shop there in future?

Ok, maybe I am missing it, but where do I say "End of subject" as you so aptly quote me? I genuinely cannot remember saying that once.

Baza, go away and stop trolling as per usual. Only person who got the other thread deleted was the OP for never actually proving what she said happened.

This thread has gone off track and yes I helped it go that way, apologies to OP.

I think Sainsbury's should have tried to do more for OP and I think OP had a fair point to vent.
