A bloke in Asda once said he'd "smash everything in my trolley"
Wonder if he was planning to sell them on? Or serve them up in his pub.I need to think of something new here...0 -
I don't know. He had a crazy look in his eyes like I'd just killed his wife.

OP you have now been introduced to the delight of the reduced section in a supermarket, it is quite a spectacle. Ive reduced stuff in a previous job and it was quite a sight, it was like a pot of honey and a load of bees around it. You get 2 types of customers; theres the polite ones/well mannered people then theres the types who dont have manners and just push and shove.0

Some people can be so rude. All you need to do, though, is invade their personal space in the same way - as if they aren't there. Try to walk through them, push them out of the way, reach across their face to grab something, putting your armpits by their nostrils.
If they don't back off, you can move on to advanced tactics: examine items in their basket/trolley and put them into yours, take items out of their hands, etc. If they look like they're about to object, remember to smile and thank them for their assistance. That'll confuse them and diffuse any aggression while they try to work out if you really are completely mental and whether they're in any danger - they know the usual rules don't apply to crazies!
For extreme situations, and as a pre-emptive strike to ward off repeat attacks, lick them on the side of the face and say "Mmmm...." as you nonchalantly stroll away.
If you ever see them again, I can guarantee that they won't come anywhere near you. You might even hear a shriek as they run in the opposite direction. Do it often enough, and entire crowds will magically part in front of you, giving you easy access to the reduced items shelves...0 -
i like it when the shop is about to close and there is still hot food at the Rotisserie counter. There are people milling around waiting for them to be reduced and as soon as they start there is a huge rush towards the counter as people fight for £1 chickens! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. When I used to work in Sainsbury's, we did reductions at about 7:00, then furthe reductions at 9:00, then all that was left went down to 5p at 10:30.
Oh my God. Every day, we'd get the same people, coming in and hovering round. On the odd day where we did reductions later/earlier, we'd get bitc*ed at. It was our store's choice as to when reductions were done, but we'd get people complaining if we did reductions early, as we were depriving them of their bargains! These people, who came daily, genuinely believed they had more of a right to the stuff than anyone else!
And if at 10:31pm, we hadn't started reducing again, they'd be bringing stuff to the tills asking us to manually override the prices!0 -
Cheeky devils. I'd have told them to stuff themselves.0

If I was working reductions, I'd put bits and bobs in different areas to confuse them. Or if they were rude and asked for something to be reduced quickly, I wouldn't reduce it at all :P0 -
I dont have an issue with customers, its the rude ones i dont like, ive met soem customers over the past few weeks who have been quite polite.0
