Yes the NHS may provide neccesities for diabetics like needles, covers for blood monitor, pens, diary but maybe we would like the odd freebie too. like diabetic chocolate, diabetic jam, diabetic sweets or other items the NHS dont provide.
come on people lets not fall out now :grouphug: group hug

Your husband should really not be using diabetic specific related products. some can contain high quantities or sorbitol which is not good for you. He is best to follow a low fat, low sugar, carbohydrate and high fibre diet.0

With respect, it's not really your place to say what her husband should or should not be eating. Yes, we know foods created for diabetics contain sorbitol, but I doubt any of us sit there and munch our way through bar after bar after bar everyday! If you want some 'chocolate' as a treat, but your blood sugar is a bit high, then on the odd occassion the diabetic chocolates are the best thing you can have!0 -

I know this has been posted else where, but IMO worth posting in this thread. It's free to do and the more signatures the better.

Petition details:
By making insulin pumps available to all diabetics earlier in their illness rather than later, you will reduce the COST TO THE NHS by making diabetics more in control of their diabetes. Diabetics more in control of their diabetes are healthier. As found in countries such as the US of A and Israel this saves ALOT of money to the government, and means people are healthier0 -
