I did a google search for this, and i only came up with rubbish and free recipies. Although the recipies are good, my OH can basically eat what he likes!
If anyone is in the Medway area of Kent and is Diabetic, i strongly recommended getting in touch with their Diabetic Nurse about a course called DAFANE. My OH has just completed a week FREE, with free lunches, blood testing equipement and insulin pens.
It's basically a course on teaching you how to eat the right foods and how much isulin to take etc. I thought i would post this info as in its own right its free and very good!
I think other places might be doing it, so goldie if you have a diabetic nurse or know someone that is diabetic, get them to ask about this course! It was well worth it, i got to go in as well for half a day and they teach you stuff to do if a Hypo happens etc!
There was a year wait for this at Medway, but well worth it!:heartpuls I love this place! :heartpuls

Diabetics should not be scraping for freebies. The NHS should provide the necessary resources to allow people who suffer from this illness to lead a high quality of life0

OMG!

I think me and you have got off on a wrong foot. Medical products for Diabetics (that they require for a high quality of life) should be provided free from the NHS. Freebie hunters that are Diabetic can hunt, no better no worse than anybody else.
Again I thank you for your welcome0 -
All medical items needed and mediciation ARE supplied free by the NHS.
There is nothing wrong with finding other freebies, such as if you had a cat or a bloody dog! You still look for freebies.
I'm sorry but you have offended me by saying "Diabetics should not be scraping for freebies" everyone is entitlied to hunt for freebies regardless of race, sex or a medicial conditidtion.:heartpuls I love this place! :heartpuls

Perhaps my use of words for "Diabetics should not be scraping for freebies" where not the best use of english. I should has said "Diabetics should not be scraping for diabetic freebies". It is those Diabetics "freebies" that should be provided by the the NHS. I assume that you pay your taxes as much as anybody else and therefor entiltiled.
Thanks again for your warm welcome0 -
Your not getting the point here are you!
If you have actually read my post, we get what we need free via the NHS, but there is no harm in looking for freebies........
Ah forget it, you obvisouly dont understand where myself and the other member who posted here want.
No one is different to be asking for freebies regardless. You applied for free baby spoons! You get them free in your Bounty packs!
Your not discrimated from looking for freebies just cause you and i quote from you "suffer from this illness":heartpuls I love this place! :heartpuls
