However I don't want my salary to be moved.
Is this possible?
Thanks
Yes should be - Just sign up for AATS for direct debits and tell them you'll take care of the credits yourself...0 -

5) They give you a £2000 overdraft for 4 months to ensure you don't go overdrawn unauthorised. This is because the direct debits are switched first, your salary is the last thing to be switched.
What happens if you don't have a regular salary coming in. I'm self employed and have 2 lots of rental coming in at different times during the month, and get other income coming in irregularly as well. How does that fit into their system, when you don't tick all the boxes?0 -
Just applied online for the High Interest Current Account.
How long do I need to keep the account open for? Can I just pay two months salary in then close it?Cashback earned
Quidco : £858
Pigsback : £20 and a Beatles CD.0 -

I'm not sure, as long as it is over £1000 a month you get the high rate of interest. If it is less, you don't get the high rate of interest. What I do know is that if I put less than £1000 in one month, I would not get the high rate for a couple of months - I think0 -

Basically you need to have £1000 per month crediting your account - this doesn't have to be in one lump sum on one day - so long as every month you average more than £1000 being credited to your account. Being self employed shouldn't be a problem, in fact you could also open a business bank account if you were interested in that. If you go into a branch you should get an instant decision on it all - if the regular credits go into a bank account with another bank they should be able to transfer those for you too...
Interest free overdraft is not a set limit, but generally they will offer you some sort of facility - if you have an exisiting overdraft with another bank they will generally try to match it, but you may need to take in most recent couple of statements when you apply.
Hope this helps0 -
That's great. I can £1,000+ from different sources, was just worried it had to be in a lump sum. Will give it a go.0

doesn't have to be moved at all - but you won;t get the £100 unless the £1000 hits the account per month - or the high interest 6% is based on £1000 a month
WHY DOES IT Say i posted that post when i didn't?0 -

Thanks for your insight into this offer.
I have a question that you may know the answer to...
I think I have two current accounts that I'd like to, er, switch.
Just how closely linked, if at all, are Halifax & BoS systems - and do they share the same AATS department?
Although Bank of Scotland and Halifax have different branding the products they offer are the same - therefore they create one customer portfolio which details all of your accounts (Halifax & Bank of Scotland together). That would mean that you would only be eligible for £100 cashback on one account - and if that account is held in joint names then you would only receive it once between both you and your wife....so if you are going to do it I would suggest that you open 2 separate current accounts in sole names to get the maximum benefit!
The AATS transfer process can transfer more than one account at a time and the £100 offer is per AATS transfer - so only 1 x £100 per customer.0
