...is there anything I should do to ensure my salary isn't moved but that the £100 still comes through?
I've taken a cursory look at the BOS T&C's and they appear identical to those for the Halifax/BOS promotion that ran from February.0 -
Had an easy transfer of my Direct Debits, paid in a grand for 2 months (normally by taking my wages out of the Halifax ATM, going in branch and paying it straight back in!) and was expecting my 100 quid on the last day of this month, possibly with a struggle.
Errrrr but I got £100 "cash" credited yesterday! Can't believe they have put it in early.....beers are on me folks
Excellent! Mines a John Smiths
Actually I just got my £100 Cash in my new account too so will buy my own!
I just created my Halfifax with the details to do the transfer from an old account I had with a few quid in it that I hadn't closed, I created 2 small Standing Orders - 1 to my other half and the other to my main account, transfered £1000 once a month (and left it in for a few days before transfering it back out).
So no salary was transfered and no other hassles on my proper main account (not Halifax).
So no harm done and a few months of wait for £100
Where's the next deal?0 -
I deposited over a grand in March, April & May and completed the switching service around late April, early May so I should be due my money sometime soonWycombe Till I Die0

I've checked my account and they have put my £100 cash in twice!!!! Maybe its a goodwill gesture for the all sh*t I've had trying to get this account up and running!
Do you think they will notice and withdraw it?? I don't think I'm going to say anything to them!!!

I haven't been paid the 100 after 3 months. Called Halifax, the operator murmured something which I had difficult to hear clearly. I guessed that he said they would solve the problem asap:mad:0

Does anyone know if Halifax are likely to offer the £100 deal again anytime soon? Is this a regular thing they're doing?
I'm looking for a high interest account and BOS's offer is tempting, but I'd rather go with Halifax since I don't live in Scotland. Perhaps it makes no difference?
Also, do you know whether the high rate is an bonus rate, i.e. will it go down after a year or so?0 -
I too have been fobbed off. I opened up the money back current account account using the switching service so i can get the £100 incentive. I just had my second salary paid in.
I then phone them asking when I will get this £100 and they told me that I do not qualify as I did no open up the high interest account.
I then managed to get hold of the press release date which state that incentive is payable to anyone who opens up any halifax current account using the switching service. I phone halifax again and told them about the press release. The lady at the customer relations told me to write to her with the press release enclosed.
I now waiting for their reply and hopefully they will pay up.
If any of you want the copy of the press release statement. please let me know then I'll attached the link.
Update 25/5/2007
Just checked my account this morning. Halifax has credited £100 into my account :beer:0 -
I got mine through but it showed up on my statement as "CASH" with no explanation. I phoned them up to ask them if someones paid it into my account and they said it wasnt done at a branch it was done at a internal department so I can only guess that this is the payment. Having had a turnover of £14,000 in my current a/c this month its hard to tell whats what.0

It makes no differance, they are exactly the same accounts just a different brand. You can use all halifax branches all the same. Id rather have a BOS card as I like the thought of being a tight walletted scotsman, maybe with the odd moth pressed against the card.0 -

Mine has done the same with the "cash" deposit going in on 24th May,
the following is re my opening the acc from my post on this thread HERE
"I applied for this account 27th February when I deposited the £100. since then everything has gone smoothly,(unusual for me), I had my temp password 3rd March,( re a letter dated 28th Feb, 7th March had a letter with a list of my DDs, 13th March I could start using the account,, 27th March letter stating new bank acc details had been sent to all third parties, my first DD was used correctly 29th March, I have now made 2 payments of £1000. March and April, so my £100. should be there by the end of May. My chequebook, debit card and £1000 interest free overdraft all arrived as stated"
So all in all it has taken 3 months from application to £100. credit.Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0
