I was all geared up with boxing gloves on and a razor sharp tongue at the ready when I phoned Halifax, 5 minutes ago.
My balance on-line did not show the £100 incentive which I expected to see in the account by today. But, apparently it has gone on the account today! (Although the on-line facility hasn't updated yet to show this).
    So a big Y-I-P-P-E-E ! from me.
Fingers crossed everyone that your £100 has gone in today, too.

This is the link to get Halifax to ring you back, saving on your phone bill. I had to give my Roll Number, and hung on for ages, but having got the confirmation that my £100 has hit my account today, it was worth it.

    8th Feb 2007
Account fully opened and funded with first £1000. Had sent them 2 switching forms back and signed everything in branch. Had cheque/d.card etc. Account was open and active.

    17th April 2007
Received a letter saying they had finally posted my request to A&L for switching

    Current day
Still waiting for list of SO/DD's. No £100 credited yet, even though I opened it all in Feb. I applied the day it became available.

    Their excuse for the delays?
I only sent my SO and DD switching form, and not my salary credit form. I made it clear in all the letters that I didn't want to switch my salary, but they were waiting anyway in case I changed my mind. The fact I called them about 10 times trying to chase up the transfer progress didn't seem to make a difference.
I'll be going into a branch tomorrow and kicking up a fuss. They are the worst bank I have ever dealt with so far (and this, coming from a Barclays customer).

No sign of money in my account.
I haven't transfered any DDs, but I do pay £1K per month into the account.
    Happy chappy

Well, the £100 offer was only for those switching from another account (moving salary/standing orders/direct debits etc).

The annoying thing about my switching (or lack of), is that I could have done it all myself in 5 minutes. I think i'll just take a new approach.
Demand the £100 from them, tell them to give up trying to transfer the stuff themselves (they clearly are incapable), and then I'll just set up the standing orders again myself. Shall see how well that goes down in branch tomorrow.

£100 received today showing as cash received on 30 April.

Time to change all my SO's and DD back to my old account.
    Cashback earned
    Quidco : £858 :)
    Pigsback : £20 and a Beatles CD.
  • I see I'm not the only one who's been having problems. I am still waiting to receive the switching forms, after over TWO soddin' months of chasing them for them! What's frustrating is that I could have done it all myself yonks ago, but then wouldn't have got the 100spiders. Tis annoying. if they dare try and tell me I'm not eligible for the 100pounds now as it's after April 30th all hell will break loose! Grrrrr, am not amused!

opened HICA in march - balance has been over £2500 for all of april but seem to have received a grand total of £2.98 in interest - surely £2500 at 6.18%pa should amount to more than this in interest? - what have others been paid?

    £2,500 x 6.00% / 365 x 30 = £12.32 (before tax).
