When I first credited the account I paid in £100 in cash. I then topped up to £1000 by putting £900 in via BACS. I've just been told that cash doesn't count!!. You need to put £1000 minimum by BACS for two months before you get the £100

I DO recall seeing that you have to pay in 1000 for the first 2 months
I DON'T recall seeing how it has to be paid in

    You're joking! (I hope).

I paid all my credits into this new account in cash - the initial £100, the first months £1,000 and again the 2nd months £1,000.

I don't recall seeing anything at all in the T&C's that credits needed to be received via BACS.

Has anyone else been told this?

Just been through my paperwork for the account and found

"Conditions for the £100 switching incentive:
    4. You must make payments totalling at least £1000 every month, into your new account"

and that's it. No discrimination as to how it's paid, BACS, cash or Monopoly money

iwbus - Halifax related, I notice your footer includes ''Amazon Halifax Mastercard PAID''. I have one of those. Anyone here know if there is any advantage or disadvantage in keeping the account open, having fully repaid past debt (used only for the Christmas incentive of £15+£10!)

I did this for self and OH (seperate addresses) but did some of the credits by xfering between the two (unlinked) hfax accounts but it seems this doesn't count so am now going to have to do this month and next from external - anyone know if I will still qualify despite having month 1 1000 deposit, m2 o deposit, m3,m4 1000 deposit?
    I think....

any credits account - firstly for the high interest account 6.17% AER you must credit £1000 a month - can be from any souce, bank credits, internal transfers, cash, cheques - and the same to qualify for the £100 switching offer

    Has anyone received the £100?

I opened my account in Feb and paid in £1,000. I paid another £1,000 in during March and another £1,000 in April.

I've received a list of DD's and SO's and confirmed them with Halifax over 2 weeks ago but they still aren't showing on my account.
    Cashback earned
    Quidco : £858 :)
    Pigsback : £20 and a Beatles CD.

halifax are contacting your direct debit companies - it depends on those companies time scales

the £100 should be with you the end of this month then

paid to you the end of the month , the month following your second payment of £1000
