I think these are delaying tactics.. If I'm right all DD and SO need to be in place by the end of April in order to qualify for the money.QUOTE]
Same has happened with me. I went into my local branch and expressed my concern seeing as how the end of April is fast approaching and I still ahven't recieved a list of DD's and SO's. I told the woman at the branch that it is unlikely that the process will be complete and that I wouldn't be happy if I didn't get the £100 incentive. She then telephoned the AATS (on a special sercret line that we're not allowed to call) to try and spur them on. I told her that I did have much confidence as I had been waiting since Feb but she told me that she would sort out the £100 for me if there is any problem (i.e. end of April comes and go's and DD's not set up yet) as it's due to the Halifax's mistake.
I hope that this helps people.0 -
what did the aats team say?
are they waiting on your bank?0 -
I didn't actually get to speak to them but I heard the woman at the branch say to them that I had originally opened the account in Feb and that it was unacceptable so I take it that they didn't blame it on my exsisting bank.0

well i was just wondering as they contact your existing bank for list of DD'd and SO's, and then this is sent to you0

Made my 2nd months £1000 payment this month - should I expect my £100 by the end of the month?0

No, the £100 is credited at the end of the month following the month that the 2nd £1,000 was paid in. So it should be the end of May for you.0 -

I was told on the phone the other day that to be eligible for the £100, you had to have opened the account and details of your old bank to switch from before the expriy date (21st March?). You dont actually have to have started the switch yet, just say that you would like to switch some time.0 -

That's true trickydicky, they closed the ofer afte that but they state that the DD's and SO's transfer process must be completed by the end of April.
Basically because I said that I wasn't happy about the AATS slow service, the woman in the branch said that she would make sure that I would still ge the £100 if it's not complete by the end of April (which it won't). If people are worried I recommend going into a branch and expressing your concern. Then get the name of someone in the branch and get them to confirm that they will sort it if anything goes wrong....... there's £100 at stake!0 -
Well my second £1000 payment went in in March so I should get the £100 in April. Still waiting....are they going to pay it in at the last possible moment??If I had a pound for every time I didn't play the lottery...0

I don't think the switching process has to necessarily be completed by the end of April but they do have to have received the switching forms by then (presuming you opened the account before the offer was withdrawn).
See their terms and conditions:
I'm not sure if that link is still going to be active but the terms and conditions are quoted in full in the second post at the very start of this thread.
If you've got the switching forms to them and they've acknowledged them by the end of April, then I think they'll have to cough up. At least that's what I'm going to be holding them to.
They've had my forms since mid Feb but I've only just received acknowledgement. They are so incompetent!0
