Oh and can I have an account for me and my husband an account for him and we'd get £200 in total? We could swap all dds from our joint account to his sole account but could I then have some of those transferred to my new sole account even though the accounts would be in different names?0

All banking advisers pre-qualify appointments before hand (well they should do). What did you need to phone back for?
Some people don't turn up, quite rude, as someone else could have had the appointment, but it happens
I had to call back because the message left asked me to get back in touch!2 + 2 = 4
except for the general public when it can mean whatever they want it to.0 -

All branches in Scotland now have direct line contact numbers - not in the phone book yet as they haven't been reprinted, but posters are up in the branches with the direct line number on it. i understand this system is being rolled out across the whole of the UK so only a matter of time - in the meantime you can phone the call centre and ask to be put through to the individual at the branch...:D0 -

yes, but you won't get the £100 offer if you do that..0 -
Trying to decide which account to apply for. The moneyback account looks good as it pays 1% cashback and could be useful for when Egg Money drops it's 1% rate.
As I am a matched better does anybody know if Gambling transactions attract the 1% cashback as well as normal spend?

Another question I have is that I want to move from Cahoot as they don't have a simple facility to download statements. Their advice to cut and paste into a spreadsheet !
Does the Halifax online banking allow you to download statements?

Yes your statements go into a file from your portfolio and you can view, print and archive these if you opt for paperless banking.0 -

a) you no longer want 6.17% AER, and/or
b) you've been paid the £100 incentive
Your choice really.0
