  • Did you actually read what I put? I said many disasters wouldn't happen not that all disasters wouldn't happen.

Did you actually read what I put? I asked whether you believe less earthquakes etc would happen, not if none would happen.

Do you believe less earthquakes etc would happen?

In other words, you don't understand them!

Please enlighten me, what can humans do to alleviate the effects of a tornado like this or a tsunami like this or a massive volcanic eruption like this?

I fully accept that I like everyone else doesn't understand them!

For instance if the world's resources were more fairly distributed then those effected would be looked after or indeed wouldn't need to live in the areas at risk in the first place.

I've said that there would still be these type of events, no-one can predict how many or how few.

Actually, the mechanics of things like tornadoes and volcanic eruptions are well understood by scientists and meteorologists. We can't always predict them, but we know how they work, we understand why they are where they are, we can go a long way towards predicting their effects.

What we can't do is control them or stop them happening.

Its true that the developing world is disproportionately affect by SOME natural disasters such as drought, floods, monsoon etc. and that's a bit of a chicken and egg situation to be honest, but developed countries like the US and Japan are also hit hard regularly.

Modern humans have been around for 200,000 years. Please tell me you don't think that was the beginning of time. Earth is 4.5 billion years old.

200,000 years?!! Don't be daft, Adam and Eve were created 6000 years ago, that's how old the earth is.
