Well so much for my NSD today, was brushing DD's hair ready for school this morning and found lice! So off to the chemist I have trudged once I dropped them off at school.
I knew it was going round and I guess I should count myself lucky that she's not had them yet but !!!!!! I would have thought these would have been irradicated by now, but I guess not everyone will do something about them and still they go round.
So £17.37 spent! I got some Tea Tree oil as well as I've been told that that stuff help to prevent them coming back.
On the plus side my back is much easier now the tablets have kicked in, so that's something I guess.0 -
Morning,
My back's a lot easier this morningand said lice has been irradicated in the Purple household.
Need to get some more of my maths done this morning, I only managed an hour yesterday.
Dinner is sorted for tonight...I think I'm on a roll lol
Washing has been put away and I just have washing up to do today.
I've had a look at the finances again and another payment has come out, having checked what is due to come out against what is left in the account if we are very, very careful we may get to the end of this month intact.
Nothing much else to report moneywise, I didn't get my NSD yesterday but am going to try again today for one.
Have a good day x0 -
Hi Purple, you seem very organised with the dinners - I *still* haven't done any meal planning but it really works so know I need to do it to get the food spend under control.
Glad to hear the lice have been eradicated - I remember having them when I was younger but my mum didn't tell me until they were gone as she was worried I would freak out. She explained all the combing and washing of my hair by saying it was dirtier than usual. :rotfl:Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Morning,
Thursday and another step closer to weekend...always a good thing in my book
I've been paid too, which is a good thing and I've checked the finances and everything seems to be on track, so far.
NSD #1 for the week achieved yesterday
Got maths to do again this morning, I've my test paper to sort, which I'm a bit worried about doing as I doubt I'll pass it.
Dinner is sorted for tonight and I have washing up to sort.
Quite pleased with how my week has gone so far, just need to keep up the momentum.
If there is any money left in the account when DH gets paid, I am going to pay it off the CC and reduce that a bit more.
Have a good day everyone. xx0 -
Well done on the NSD this week, I still have managed one yet.

Morning....it's Friday
:D:D
I love Friday's they are possibly my most favourite days of the week.
I did my practise test yesterday, I got 21/40....I was expecting to get a bit more than that but my tutor feed back said 'Well Done' so I assume that is a pass mark? I think personally I would rather get more than that on the proper test so I think more revision needed and more practise tests.
On the money side of things, all is okay so far; I have checked daily this week and we are still on track.
However....I need to add to the credit card bill, I need to pay the gas/electric bill and it has to go on that; not happy but I did say that it would be added and as we've nothing in reserve to pay for it I need to.
One step forwards and three steps back...again!
Right on to today:
Work
Talk to my tutor
Get DH some NicAssist and shower gel
Speak to FA about paperwork received
Wash up
Washing
That should keep me going for a while.
Have a good day everyone x0 -
Evening,
Just a quick note to say that I have got a cleaning jobIt's on a Fri morning for an hour and a half and will earn me £12 per week
And doesn't mess up with my voluntary job or my paid job.
Everything looks like its going our way at last.
Have a good evening xx0 -
Morning,
A nice Sunday morning so far, woke up feeling fairly happy
Climbing club for DS today and DH is flying with a friend, whilst DS is climbing DD and I will sort her homework out at the place.
Got lots to do today and need to sort the finances out.
Initially the extra £12 will go towards our holiday at Easter, then I will need to decide what I'm going to do with it.
Unfortunately I'm not going to hit my target again this month for the NSD's..I really need to try harder at this.
I'm happy that it is only a short month and don't have long to wait until DH gets paid again.
Off to get motivated, have a good day everyone x0 -
Fantastic news about the cleaning job, well done!0

Morning,
Mega Failure on the NSD's for February, didn't even make my target, however I am not going to be beaten and I again have pledged to hit 10 for March, this is going to take some doing as I have a birthday on the 10th and my birthday is also coming up next month.
Cleaning job starts on Friday, I went to see the lady and her flat is small enough that it should only take me an hour and a half to do it.
I need to set myself some goals for March so will have a think about that today.
Busyish day today with quite a bit of running about going on.
Off to get motivated.
Have a good day everyone xx0
